Question of the Day

Learn discernment.

The past week I've been listening to my "fairytales" playlist on Amazon. Celtic Women, Cody Fry, Emmy the Great, and different movie soundtracks I love and make me feel motivated and inspired.

Oooh this one was difficult, but i'd say Matchbox Twenty/ Rob Thomas!

Now, it would be Queens of the Stone Age or Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Blink-182 (the original members)

I've been listening to some punk music – like Magnolia Park, Sueco, Nevertel, Bryce Savage, Connor Kauffman
When I've been reading recently, I will sometimes put on a lofi playlist I have.

I just finished watching Dexter: New Blood and I don't want it to be over.

I just started Hotel Portofino on PBS, I'm very hopeful it'll turn out good, can never really tell from the pilot episode.

I was obsessed with The Amazing Race for a little while. I'm not really watching anything right now.

what we do in the shadows. it's pretty much the only tv show i watch lol

Goo Goo Dolls!!

But there are so many, including
Bohemian Rhapsody - Freddy Mercury, Queen
Free Falling - Tom Petty
And (already mentioned)
Hotel California

February Stars (Foo Fighters)
Desecration Smile, Poster Child, Scar Tissue, Slow Cheetah (RHCP)

Our Missing Hearts by Celeste Ng
Freshwater by Akwaeke Emezi

Finish The Traitor's Wife by Susan Higginbotham (re-read)
My friend recommended Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard, so I may try that.

aside from finishing up everything i'm currently reading: white is for witching by helen oyeyemi, you made a fool of death with your beauty by akwaeke emezi, and the only good indians by stephen graham jones

Nothing for July.
QOTD: Summer is almost over. Are there any summer activities that you still want to do before fall gets here?

Not especially, it's been way too hot for me to do any outside stuff.

i'd like to just go down to the lake. maybe go kayaking

maybe it's just because it's fresh on the mind, but 'nothing but blackened teeth' by cassandra khaw. something horrific would be happening to one of them, and the other characters would just be off to the side talking like they were trying (and failing) to win a comedy contest. it was such a weird reading experience

Wendys french fries dipped in a chocolate frosty. It's delicious, trust me.
