I used to read the last page before I read the beginning. I don't do that anymore because everybody thought I was crazy!
429. My goal was 100 books, and for a while I was ahead of the game, but then I started college. I've barely read anything since I started! So I lowered my goal to 80, which is how many I've already read.
431. Fall is here and many people are getting their Fall TBRs together. What book do you recommend that someone should read during the Fall season? Why?
The Anne of Green Gables run always puts me in a fall mood, I love those cozy fall nights with warm apple cider and the original movies and books. They're old classics but I always love to recommend them.
432. Today is the first day of Fall, officially. What book, off of your Fall TBR, are you starting with first?

Books off of your fall to-read list, so this could be any book you plan on reading during the fall. Typically, people gravitate towards spooky reads like horror or thrillers. It can also be books set in Autumn or any book that you think will give you all the fall vibes.

Me too! I love the cover and someone told me they sobbed at the end.

Yeah, I am indecisive on my list too. I'm currently reading a book that is classified as like gothic horror. But I'm so excited for October! I want to read a bunch of spooky books.

One single time, at work, on break. The new Harry Potter book came out and I wanted to read it. A coworker, who never spoke to me before or after, told me all about a series she was reading. My gosh, she would not stop! It was not a pleasant experience. She spoke through the entire break. I think she did it on purpose. Strange. You would think a conversation with a stranger about a book would be a good thing.
Krystyna wrote: "433. Have you ever had a conversation with a stranger that was initiated because of a book?"At work yes. Once that I can think of in a waiting room, a nurse came in and tried to talk to me about the book I was reading, I got so flustered I didn't know what to tell her lol
Krystyna wrote: "434. Is there a book you like to read every Fall?"I've mentioned it like a dozen times already but Anne of Green Gables for me, and maybe Little Women or an Austen.
I almost wish there was a follow up novel for The House in the Cerulean Sea. I want to know how Linus and Arthur are doing! Even if it was a novella I'd be okay with that.

I definitely agree with this! I know it's a totally different story but I'm excited to start his new book.

438. How many books have you read this month? Are you trying to finish up anything by the end of the day?

(Note: I switched from using numbers to just labeling these QOTD, which is what I will use now and going forward.)

3. A Lesson in Vengeance by Victoria Lee - a friend's book club pick
4. Under the Whispering Door by T.J. Klune - possible buddy read this month
5. In My Dreams I Hold A Knife by Ashley Winstead - another possible buddy read this
6. Dead Space by Kali Wallace
7. Goblin by Josh Malerman
8. The Burning Girls by C.J. Tudor
9. My Best Friend's Exorcism by Grady Hendrix
10. The Last Final Girl by Stephen Graham Jones
11. The Chill by Scott Carson
12. The Mary Shelley Club by Goldy Moldavsky
13. The Near Witch by Victoria Schwab
14. The Last House on Needless Street by Catriona Ward
15. Chasing the Boogeyman by Richard Chizmar
Note: I'm a mood reader so these give me options. This is more of a list of potentials. I don't think I will get to all of these but these are some that I'd like to choose from in October. Some are books that I need to prioritize, like for book clubs.
