The book is going quick... dialogue-heavy books always do... that's why I like them, especially when I like the characters...

Finished ! I agree with your ending thoughts. (view spoiler)[I felt the ending was a bit rushed and Rust going in the building was a bit strange. The all "I'm cutting my wrist to change my future" when in fact he was NOT was cool, that's something I really like in the time-travel stuff.
I was really intrigued by the paralels between the D&D game and the reality, I hope there is something more behind all that than simple coincidence.
I was really sad for Elton's father, especially since it all came out of the blue (what I really mean is comme un cheveu sur la soupe, like we say in French ^^). (hide spoiler)]
I liked it. I'm wondering what is going to happen in the next two books since it could quite well be the end of the story...

Haha same... I'm not sure what it is, but there's always something stopping me from enjoying his books the way I would love to. His Broken Empire Books were even worse for me. I enjoyed the first book, but got annoyed more and more by the sequels. I somehow liked the ending tho...

If you interested in reading Holy Sister sometime, let me know, I don't love the series but some parts were really great and I'm actually interested how it will end :)

Yea, sorry... I finished... so much stuff happened in that ending segment, and the blurbs for the rest of the trilogy seem like they take the books in different directions, with pretty big time jumps...

I wonder if the rest of the series will have D&D in it or not, tho...

I think the second book only jumps ahead 6 months to summer 1986... but Nick has jumped ahead to college classes, so things change...

Book 3, tho... Mark Lawrence has teased the first chapter and it's 1992, so that's a 6 year time jump...

I'm still sprinkling my last couple re-reads in, about to start Soulbinder, way behind on Dragon Republic, Sapphire Flames is about to come out, the Sweep the Blade audio should be around, just found out about a new Craig Schaefer series, and I'm sure I'm forgetting a couple things... like Reticence by Gail Carriger

I finally took the plunge and started Limited Wish... I can't believe we waited so long to continue... Dispel Illusion is 17 days from release...

Limited Wish seems to purposely make us lost again, pretty quick... it jumps into the middle of the story then jumps back and forth to fill in the time jump and also speed into the new temporal problems...

BE finished?... does not compute... I listened to the book from like 10:30am to 1:30pm today, after I finished Spouse on Haunted Hill from 3:45am to 6am and read The Faceless Ones from 6am to 10:30am... been listening to WORM since I got home and finished this...

As much reading as I've done this month, I'm almost going to surpass my 2018 point total of 2005 points, which I didn't think was possible at the beginning of the year...
