OK everyone! Now is your chance to get your 2 cents in for the next date.

Keeping with the announcement I made a few days ago, we are looking for any input you have for a few specific words that indicate 'nerd' or 'geek' to you. These will only be suggestions, we will post a complete list prior to the next date beginning.

As it stands we have "nerd, geek, brainy, smart, genius and bluestocking". Again those words will need to be in context - 'smart-ass' or 'smartypants' won't cut it.

What about STEM? I don't know if working in STEM already makes someone a nerd, but I always equate STEM careers with pretty smart cookies.

And I'm referring to the literal word "STEM" in tags or description, and not judgement calls on careers.

I’m interested in more detail around C for challenge. When I’ve had a look at the criteria there it also says a book with a nerdy individual. If calculus is the topic for date 3 do we need it to fit a different criteria from the July challenge?

For Camouflage: I know Military tags work, but under the new rules would a shelf tagged 'cops_firemen_military' or 'military_law_enforcement' etc. Military is there but bunched in with some other tags...

I haven't checked all the pages but the book I'm looking at, the tags seem to be combinations...

I agree with the words you've got for Calculus MKat. Maybe STEM too because I agree with Amanda. I like the more specific words so it isn't open for too much interpretation.

As for Hazel's question, I'm not sure about that, when I thought of the categories for the July challenge I didn't even think to look at these tasks to see if there were any duplicates. So maybe that one is up to MKat and Karen, if they'll allow that particular task from the July monthly challenge to be used if Calculus is called.
