These books are the cause for my lack of sleep. I seriously never thought I'd be into a book about aliens but this proves me wrong. I can't wait to see what's going to happen next to Daemon and Katy!

I really loved that series. The first time I read, I was a bit frustrated at the end of Origin because I didn't ralize that I was going to have to find out the release date for Opposition. Yes, lack of sleep will continue with the others.

I have become a huge fan of Gena Showalter this year since starting her Lords of the Underworld series. So far I have enjoyed her Atlantis series. I like the spin that has been put on the lost city of Atlantis, where the gods had banished the all the supernatural creatures there and make it impossible for them to stay in human world too long without losing their powers and eventually dying.
In this book, Gray works for an agency that reminds me a lot of Stargate. Travelling to other planets and see what they have to offer in addition to if they are a threat. When they come across a book that describes Atlantis and tells where a portal is, Gray is ordered to go there and retrieve the Jewel of Atlantis. While on his journey he finds out that the Jewel of Atlantis is not a jewel at all and is actually the woman he has fallen in love with. Throughout his journey he has to constantly save Jewel from being taken away from him. He realizes that she will not be safe wherever she goes. He has a hard time with wanting to do his duty, saving Jewel and keeping her for himself. He eventually comes to the conclusion that it would be even more dangerous for her to come home with him when people found out who she was and had to leave her behind so no one else would come after her.
Jewel broke my heart with all of the heartache and misery she has to live with. Due to her predictions she who is friend or foe of whoever owns her at the time, and if she refused, she would watch innocent people die or was tortured. She was never given a name; she was always referred to as “it” or “slave”. The only creatures that felt anywhere close to family/friends were the dragons when she was with them for a couple of years after her mother died. I did like watching her grow over the book, and towards the end deciding that she would put her own fate in her hands and go after Gray, preferring to die than live without him. Because of who her father is, she had a little of all living beings in her, including human, she is able to live with Gray. The ending was kind of predictable; however I was okay with it. I enjoyed the book and look forward to the rest of the series.

I read that last month. I am in love with the series. Hopefully, I can use book 3 here soon.

This series has become such a fun series for me and I love how the author does such a good job at creating a twist on these well known characters. I loved that this story focused on Seth and Lavender because I really like them as a couple. I think that even though they are both flawed characters they work for each other and complement each other. I can't wait to read the next one in the series.

For once, I'm not the last one posting a review this week! This was as amazing as the first book, Buried in a Book I really liked how everything played out the way it should! I'm curious to see what the next mystery that will be solving in book three! Any cozy mystery about books and food are my favorite ones to read!

I'll be done by tomorrow and get my post up

Review: this is a re-read for me. I love this series. Ty and Zane crack me up. The boys are sent on a 'forced' vacation. So Ty takes Zane home to West Virginia to meet his family. That alone should have scared the crap out of Zane. Add in the fact they decide to go camp in the Appalachians with Earl and Deuce (Ty's father and brother). Of course, craziness ensues. I will say I did my re-read too fast and didn't get to savor but I'll do that another day. Ty's Grandpa is hilarious. Oh and Deuce is the only one who knows Ty is gay - hahahaha. If you like suspense along with some crazy (sometimes unbelievable) action and can look over men bits being together (if that isn't your thing) ~ I highly recommend this series.

Theme: Book 2 of Cyborgs: More than Machines Series
Review:
Not as good as the last one, but this one was good too. I am glad the author didn't wait to get Solus paired up. Solus out for a mission to get supplies but also look for Chloe's sisters. F814 was serving in manual labor where she was being abused, but she fights back when they try to terminate her. F814 .K.A. Fiona thinks she is defective because she seems to be different from other droid. Solus finds her and takes her aboard their ship to show she is not a droid, but a cyborg. Solus feels a lot of human emotions toward Fiona, and he hates it because he hates everything human related, but he can't seem to help himself. I think the best part of the book for me was Seth and his antics, it brought humor to the story. I still love the concept of this series where humans are the bad guys. It is something of a new concept for me to be reading and I always love what Eve Langlais comes up, so I can't wait to read the next in the series.

I really love the Mine series. Claire has had a hard life, her parents were murdered by her boyfriend, Ethan, when she was 16 then several years later her sister was brutally murdered in a senseless crime. After having nowhere else to go, she turns to Noah for help. All she wanted was a job, however he had different plans and wants her in his bed.
Claire is trying to get her life together, but Ethan’s fathers does everything in his power to make life difficult for her since he feels she is the reason that Ethan killed her parents. Throughout the story, Claire’s life is in jeopardy and Noah does what is necessary to keep her safe.
As the story progresses, it is clear that Ethan’s entire family is crazy. His father blames Claire for his son deviant behavior; his brother is trying to “clean up” the mess by killing everyone who gets in his way, and Ethan is a psychotic stalker who escaped from prison.
I really enjoyed the journey of Claire and Noah’s story with all the twists.

The ending to this book was kind of expected, just because I knew something bad had to happen. Otheriwse, again another amazing read. I don't think I can wait for the next roll to continue the series, haha. I'm going to have to see if my library has the last two on the shelves!

Review: so it's been a while since I finished book 2 because the ending pissed me right the hell off. So, shocker, I didn't want to jump right into #3. Beginning this book brought back all the horrid thoughts of Disco being an ass. Anyway, no time to dwell on that as with all things in Rhiannon's life - timing for everything always sucks. The sire of their line is coming for a visit - yippee!!???! Yeah that's what I thought. This can't be good and of course it is not. Rhiannon has to put on her big girl panties and deal. Lots to deal with in this one. Rhiannon manages to come out on top as always but we lose some key players along the way. Oh ~ and I find out that this isn't a trilogy like I thought when I started this series. WTH - #4 is NO WHERE in sight. So yeah - 4 stars but slightly aggravated as there is no idea how long it will take to get to #4 as the author is re-releasing #1, 2 and 3. Maybe.......4 will come out in 2016.......

I love this series and I love that I got the back story on Nicky Blue. He made me love him even more and he is now my favorite Tale from this series. We also got to learn about Trish and she is tough as nails and a character that I could fall in love with. The two of them worked so well together and I loved seeing them work through their issues. I can't wait to read the next one in the series to see what happens next.

I'll keep my fingers crossed,lol
