Thanks Joni. I hadn't even heard of Gone Girl when you asked. I'm looking forward to seeing what you think though.

Joni, I'm interested to hear what you think of that one too! I've seen it around a lot, but didn't know whether I wanted to read it yet or not.

STAND ALONE

Review
Loved this book, my first but not last read of Sophie Kinsella.
This had me laughing out loud a lot of times.
Emma is on a flight that hits turbulence, Emma is a nervous flyer, a very nervous flyer. Emma thinks that she is going to die.........so she starts talking to the man next to her.
Except she doesn't just talk to him, she gets an extreme case of verbal diarrhea and tells him everything. .....EVERYTHING!!!
Like the fact that she wears knickers 2 sizes to small, and that she hasn't found her G spot yet, oh yes and that the company she works for has crappy coffee, a shitty manager and she threw away a clients details.
The flight landed fine and she went away embarrassed, but safe in the knowledge that she would never see the man again so it doesn't matter.............
Only the man turns out to be the founder of the company, the big cheese, the CEO of the company, and just so happens to visit their offices for a few days.
There are some cracking one liners and I thoroughly enjoyed this little slice of fun

Week 5, Spot 40, Stand AloneBook Read:
by Kurt VonnegutDates Read: 9/26 to 9/28

Review: This was a very interesting book, and it covered an interesting topic. Billy was a unique character and had to experience a great many hard situations and his subsequent time travels, whether imagined or real, were also very engaging.
I think that the style, while it made perfect sense for the story that was being told and often expressed tough situations in more casual tones, ended up being a little tiresome by the end and I was glad to have finished the story.
Vicci you've got me interested in reading that now. Yet another add to my TBR! I'm about 1/2 way done with
. Hooked so far! !
lol I do that all the time Joni my TBR pile never goes down, as I'm adding all of the books everyone else is reading too! Yeah it's a great read, it really gets going after a while.

Some major things happen in this one, game changer kind of things. I can't wait to see where Ms. Dean takes us after this one. Someone has hired assassins to try to take Secret out (shocking I know, someone wants her dead lol) and all the while she's (spoiler for the previous book) (view spoiler) I know it's been said in previous books that one day she's going to have to pick her wolf or her vamp side and I just can't see how that will work.i do prefer her interactions with the vamps though. Holden and Sig are two of my favorite characters.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Spot 40 Book 4 in a series

My Review: I am thoroughly enjoying this series, there hasn't been a book I haven't liked. Cynthia really knows how to write, she never fails in endearing me to her characters while hooking me on the plot.
Drake was the more mysterious one with a bad boy persona and after the revelations about Anna Jean, I was curious about him and couldn't wait to get to know him better and he didn't disappoint. Jasmine was an interesting girl and she complemented him well. Looking forward to the next one!
4 day migraine. This is taking me a bit longer than it should. Plus I missed going to Disneyland. Ugh! I should be done sometime today.

I loved this one! After hearing several negative reviews I was hesitant to read it, which is why it took me this long to get started. I figured it better get ahead of the curve when I realized the movie was coming out soon.
Without giving away the plot, I can say that there are a lot of surprising twists and turns in this one, as well as an ending that I didn't see coming but found rather unusual. All in all a five star and highly recommended.

Thanks for the warning, Vicci! That must have been quite the experience for everyone else on the bus!!

Review: Wow, what a wonderful story. Hazel and Augustus were amazing characters and their story was heart-wrenching. It made me laugh out loud and sob for the last hour of reading. As a parent, stories like this one and My Sister's Keeper are just so difficult for me to read...you feel for the kids, you feel for the parents, you are struck with how random and unfair cancer is.
I have 40 minutes left. My kindle has been holding me hostage instead. I'll finish it tomorrow though for sure :)

Lots of bombs in this one! I don't see how Jo is going to set things right either. Loved that they were in Vegas in this one too. I'm a sucker for books set there. I listened to this one when I've been reading the previous ones. I gotta tell you I didn't care for the narrator and she ruined the book for me some. I'll go back to the ebook version for the next one.
It's been quiet around here lol. I should of been done days ago but I've read more than listened this week.
My audio book went all weird on me and crashed so I've actually had to READ a book!!!!! Have to say........I didn't like it, it was really weird lol, got used to it in the end though.

REVIEW:
Just finished, I liked it....but I didn't love it!
Loved Levi and Cath together soooo cute, and that he went at her pace and didn't push her to do anything she didn't want, until she wanted it.
I must admit i skimmed through the Simon / Baz stories as they didn't explain or mean anything, I wasn't quite sure what they had to do with the story, unless it was "last book = real life" afterwards.
The stories were a little too Harry Potter for my liking, but I can sort of see the facination of continuing a story that has ended, but then again, isn't that what a sequel is for!?!?!
Oh and Levi wasn't a stalker boy lol phew

I had no idea what this would be about, but decided to read it anyway, since it was on every GR list I saw. I was pleasantly surprised, with the exception of the romance factor, which I am not a big fan of. I did like the story line, but thought the beginning was a bit better, before Kairu discovered who she really was. I will probably continue the series

My review: Nalini never fails to engage me in a story, I always lose myself in the world's she creates and this story was no different. I love how she introduces us to new characters like in normal pnr books, yet continues to also give books continuing the main couples story. I love Elena and Raphael and how they continually grow and evolve. I wasn't sure what to think of Raphael in the beginning but I love him now and the more we learn about him, Elena and what they are becoming has me eager for the next part in their story. So much happened in this book and I really like were the series is going, loved the revelations about Elena' s past too.
Sorry it took so long, I expected to be done earlier but it was so good that I wanted to take my time and savour it. So much action that my head is still reeling from it all. Looking forward to the next roll :)
NEW ROLL: 5+6=11
MOVED FROM SPOT #46 TO: SPOT #57
WE CAN READ:
#5 in a series
#7 in a series

Alternative option.......England !!!!!!
Happy reading guys, sorry bout the roll lol
Awesome high roll! Unfortunately I started 2 books in England this week (this happens like every week lol) I don't think I have many 5's or 7's so I'll probably go with the 5th in the secret mcqueen series.
