It's Superfan by Sarina Bowen. Do I need to choose another book, then?
ETA - Nevermind...I see someone added the page count in the interim! Was it you? LOL

Alejandro ... I have seen other members remark that INSTEAD of using the mobile app, they access the website via their phone and are able to post the links that way. Maybe that will help.
Using my desktop I easily find: 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos by Jordan B. Peterson
I concur with BC.
The GOodreads app isn’t as capable as when you access goodreads on your desktop

NOPE
This isn't 3 shelves behind territory. This is just week 1, so you are only responsible for the first shelf.
Again, its early and no one is close to bingo just yet.

Shelf #2 is posted
My daughter cracked her tooth so I have to take her to the dentist. I don't know how long the process will last. Thus, I put up the Shelf early.
Go ahead and post your questions and I will try to get to them as soon as we are done.

I feel like I called this shelf this week. Yesterday, I realized I hadn't looked for any possible books for disability and then scouted some out and boom it was called.

Will you take requests for next week's theme? :)

So, I just got out The Missing Kennedy, about Rosemary Kennedy, for the Disability shelf. She was a slow learner and was prone to emotional outbursts - which led to her having a lobotomy done (one of the first in America). Surely this qualifies for the Disability shelf - ? Her family was trying to force her to fit in by making her undergo the surgery but only succeeded in worsening her condition.
Kirsty wrote: "Question about the category, would mental health or terminal illness be classed as disability or is it just a physical condition?"
Yes. Disability includes mental and physical conditions. The ADA defines disability as a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities.
That would include Autism, let me think about the autism tag...because I’m looking for disability

Thanks for all the well wishes. She got a temporary crown and is in a little pain. As with all young kids, she’s milking it. Wanted a trip to Michaels for crafts, she wants to make her own scrunchies, she wanted a new sketch pad, calligraphy pens etc. I decided to get them.

So does it mean books about Autism work for this shelf or that you want to think about it?

What a nice mom!!

Yay, Mom!!

If I recall, the lobotomy made her pretty much nonfunctioning. So sad.

Yes. I would consider Dyslexia a disability
“Dyslexia is a type of learning disability that causes problems with reading, writing, and occasionally speaking. It is the most common learning disability among children, and its symptoms, especially if left untreated, often persist into adulthood.”
Acceptable but not limited to:
dyslexia, attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit hyperactive (ADHD) disorder, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Asperger's, Cerebral Palsy, Tourette syndrome.
Cerebral palsy, Spina bifida, Fragile X syndrome, Fetal alcohol and drug-related syndromes, Spinal cord injury, Amputation, Multiple sclerosis, Musculoskeletal injuries (eg back injury), Arthritis, Muscular dystrophy etc
if you are unsure, just ask if your book or disability would be acceptable

One of my teammates asked if you'd consider dyslexia is a disability?

Would Anorexia, a mental disorder, count for disability?

I'm sorry that I missed that one.
Not quite.

YES!"
Thanks!

just checking on this one - my impression of the rule is that so long as it's shelved by some users as whatever the call is we can use it?
This week I've posted Fair Game by Josh Lanyon, it has 29 users shelving it as "disability". The blurb says crippling knee injury, wondering if that qualifies? Looks like the knee injury impacts MC's ability to be an FBI agent.
Thanks!

I believe that PTSD is listed by the ADA as a disability.
