I am still deciding on the page requirement. I want to bounce it off the mods before

I’m interested in this answer as well. I’m not interested in reading non fiction, biographies, self-help stuff. I’m also wary of picking from a list. I would want to see the categories before signing up so that I don’t make a commitment and end up not wanting to keep it

Are you using a 5x5 or 4x4 board? I'm trying to estimate the length of the challenge.
MM group uses 5x5 board. The average length of challenge is 13 weeks. They use a free space, so if this challenge doesn't, it would be longer. Also, they use ANY two lines, not a specific two lines, so I'd guess that would make the challenge longer as well. (I've been working on gather data for MM BINGO, so I'm sure of that 13 weeks average)

Susan, in the rules it says the Free space can be read anytime once the challenge starts. It also says first team with a T, F or X wins. So more than 5 shelves for a Bingo.
ETA: I see the categories in Book Shelf Thread. I will look them over.
Hey my Challenge Enthusiasts,
Please have patience with me. I am still setting up the Game. Give me some time to put up the threads, links and everything. I tried to freeze the links so no one can sign up or comment...but then I can't add things either LMAO.
Once I am done setting up the links and make sure it's clean, I will send a group blast out. I am hoping to get this game going for March though.

Question to answer whenever you get a chance (afraid I'll forget to ask later and hoping my question will make sense ) when you say only 1 re-read for the whole round do you mean if I read a book during week 1 that fits and want to re read that book for week 15 that works or do you mean out of all the books I've ever read - I can only re-read one of them during this challenge?
Asking as I have a couple of series that I've read (paper tree/kindle read) a few years ago and I want to do 're-read' on audio for them (Brooklyn Sinners; Faith,Love & Devotion; Cut & Run; Jane Yellowrock; World of the Lupi)

Can you use any Historical Romance or is it like a Historical book published in November??
The shelf's are on the shelf page thread and not the one in the Team 1 thread right?

You have to wait until the first shelf is called to begin reading both that shelf and the free space.
Right now is “get to know” your teammates, pick a Captain, team name, ask questions about anything you need clarification on.

I have a Cheap-Free Thread here on TCF but I get a lot of the books from amazon where you can click the preferred genre you like, romance, suspense thriller, non fiction etc. Make sure you are on the "free" tab

Thanks, Alejandro, but those are for Selection Posts and Completion Posts. I am asking for an example for the Captain's Post to request a stamp.

Fantasy / PNR / UF .....
It's the PNR and UF part I'm not sure of.
Thanks.

So it doesn't have to be on the Main Page Genre? It can be in the expanded tags?
I don't think this one is going to qualify as a romance anyway ... but it's also tagged Fantasy so still good for this particular space.
And since it's a library book I can always use it for the FREE space.
Does NOT have to be in the main page. As long as someone tagged it (preferably not you that particular week 🤣)

Soon"
I just logged on to see if there was an early shelf call.
Ezi, some folks might be confused between a "Historical" book and a book that is "Set in the Past".
It's my understanding that a "Historical" book was written about a era set before the author's present time. A book that is "Set in the Past" could be any story set more than 30 (or so?) years ago.
For example, Jane Austen's books would not be "Historical" books because she was writing contemporary stories, but they would work for the "Set in the Past" task.
I might be wrong, though. You're the mod. You get to decide :)

I don’t find those categories to be mutually exclusive. One book can fit both.
Your example of Jane Austen fits both categories. Every single book it tagged Historical.
Set in the Past...well i guess that wasn’t defined too strictly. Let me think on that one for day and see what Parameters would clarify that category.
Thanks Lanelle for pointing that out.

Yes.
Yes.
I didn’t pick a specific shelf as I didn’t want to limit everyone’s reading choices. But you can try this Shelf if you are having a hard time coming up with a selection: Best Historical Fiction

Should I repost , but without a link or am I good?
