Is that the two men that always came on the boat to deliver goods and take them back to shore?

I read zoo a few years ago and didn't like it...But I've since watched the TV show, and that was pretty good, so I would be willing to try it again.

Otherwise Flamecaster or The Heretic Queen both sound really good.

Yes, that's how I found out about the book. I want to see it.

I figured it would be good since it was from James Patterson. I read Cleopatra's Daughter by Michelle Moran by Michelle Moran and really liked it. She also wrote The Heretic Queen by Michelle Moran so I wanted to give it a try. Flamecaster (Shattered Realms, #1) by Cinda Williams Chima looked really good.

James Patterson is kind of hit and miss for me. I love most of his older stuff, but some of his newer books I haven't been a fan of.

All the things I have read so far by him I have enjoyed.

message 66: by Vaughn (new)

Vaughn | 3843 comments I'm a little over halfway through this one I think.

If you guys want to change the next book, I'm good with it. Are any of the choices paranormal or fantasy?

Flamecaster (Shattered Realms, #1) by Cinda Williams Chima is fantasy with dragons in it. I would download it now since there is only 8 days left on the loan.

I forgot about Psy-Changeling! I wonder if there are any new books for that series.

That's fine with me to read that.

Yeah, I put the wrong book in there, lol. Allegiance of Honor is the last one we read. Let's do Angels' Blood first and we can catch up on the other two later. Vaughn hasn't read that series, so you and I can read them when we have time.

Vaughn | 3843 comments I find it very sad to realize how Frank and Gracie ended up in the water in the first place. And we thought Americans were bad.

It was sad. Frank just wanted to have a normal family life. He was always positive no matter what people did to him.

message 90: by Vaughn (new)

I will get back to listening today.

He resented his dad for sending his mom away. Tom also felt that his dad loved his brother more than him.

I know it was so sad. Tom just wanted to try and ease his conscience and let her know the baby was alive which made everything worse.

That is great news!

message 100: by Vaughn (new)

Vaughn | 3843 comments I hat Isabel. She's blaming him but she is the one that begged to keep the child. She should be more sympathetic that he's trying to help her by taking the blame. And he should not take all the blame. Also Hannah should be grateful that they took such good care of the baby. It wasn't there fault that Frank died. Ugh
