If the city name is given, that is what we use, we can only use the state, when that is the only location it gives.
But, this was also a Reverse - Alyssa read it - so I used it for that. They are harder cards to fill! :-)

Tatiana, is that book good? I kind of want to buy it, but I've recently been a little let down by nonfiction. Not that the stories weren't any good or weren't important or educational, just poorly written.
Also, somehow I'm flying through Game of Thrones even though it's the same length as Inheritance and it took me a whole month to read that? Maybe I'll have this one finished before April. I plan on reading at least one more shorter book as well, which I know I'll finish before the deadline.
I'm just happy to have gotten some books in, already.

Ugh, I'm so pained. Watched a booktuber's review of it that is typically as wary about nonfiction as I am, and she immediately ranted about the white privilege that this woman has and implied that her experience was invalid because she has privilege and now I'm just irritated with this booktuber.
I'm gonna try and buy the book after my next paycheck.
Well Being white is a privilege but other than that I don’t see how she was privileged. She grew up in a poor family that owned a junk yard and never went to school. She had zero education and then taught herself enough to get into college. Her parents were extremely devout Mormons who didn’t believe in education or medicine and her father was mentally ill. She had a lot against her but managed to go to Ivy League schools. I didn’t get that impression but that’s my opinion, you may feel differently.
Personally I loved the book - her story was sad but hopeful, and very well-written.I'm also not a huge fan of non-fiction unless it's written like a story, and I would highly recommend this one.

I have about an hour left of The Twelve. Really not happy about having to wait to finish it tomorrow. I am a bit surprised I love the series so much since I really don’t read a lot of horror. At least I already have the final book in the trilogy I will be able to start this weekend. Angie The Passage is available on scribd now if you have a subscription to it.

Tara Westover was on Ellen yesterday. I am not a big nonfiction fan so I had no idea about her book other than what was posted here. The one thing that really stuck out about her interview was try not to be ignorant. Before deciding something is truth, do some research. That's what I got from what she said about her family. Things her parents did were not done out of malice, just out of fear and ignorance.
