Really? I hope you like it, Cindy. You’ve got to read at least two books in the series, though.

A Challenge of Love and Faith: A Christian Historical Romance Novel
ARC
A faith-based story of love, family, healing, renewal of ones faith. A different book for me. I felt the long scripture readings got to be too much and I felt towards the end of the book it got to be too much. 3 stars

Bandits have killed Jane's husband and his brother Logan has come to tell her the news. Logan has loved Jane from the first day he set eyes on her but she was the mail order bride for Boone. Jane discovers she is with child and Logan marries her to keep her and Boone's child safe. He has agreed that this is a marriage of convenience only and would never expect Jane to tarnish her love of her late husband. Unbeknownst to Logan, as much as Jane did love her husband, he was a dreamer and let the ranch go into serious debt because of them. She too has secrets of her own. This story was a story of many twists and turns, suspense and mystery. A clean western historical romance. Just needed editing better. But a fast, good read. 5 stars

Emily Dunn is in a musical trio with her two sisters. Emily is truly the prodigy and her two sisters are mediocre. As much as Emily would like to go out on her own and become a famous pianist, the love and loyalty of her family will always come first. Until she meet the dashing Mark Linfield the Duke of Edgerton and his uncle Silas at a performance. Both men see the potential of Emily. The Duke is very adamant of getting Emily out on a tour alone. But Emily knows her father will be totally against it. Uncle Silas has more unkindly ideas for Emily. Mark is also to be engaged to a young woman, Sophia. But both agree this would be a business agreement. The story has many twists and turns in it. It is a fast, enjoyable, clean historic romance. 5 stars

A fast reading short story, clean romance. Linda was left at the alter with a huge debt of wedding expenses, not to mention her broken heart and distrust in handsome, charming men. Brian wants to become the head of the family business and the only way he can achieve this is to find a fiancė/wife to stabilize his life. Betty, the local matchmaker and friend of Linda's has a solution, they can solve each others problem. They both need each other in a business-like way, but they discover how they need each other in other ways. Some editing errors, but still a fun book. 5 stars

What did you think of Naked in Death? I fell hard for Roarke very soon after he’s introduced! And I love Eve’s personality. I hope you enjoy Glory in Death. Romantic Suspense is like winning double book lottery for me. I suspect I’ll feel the same about the other...49 I think is the number of published books. 50 has a title but I’m not sure when it’ll be released.

The Returned Lords of Grosvenor Square Book 4 is the story of Jenny Edgington who takes the job of Governess to the children of the Duke Carrington after losing her parents in a tragic fire. Their father, the Duke literally dropped them off at home after losing his beloved wife and then went back to serve in the army to try and mask his grieving pain. After completely falling apart and drinking too much, he has been dismissed from his rank and sent home. He has no desire to be around his children or be home again with all of his memories of his late wife. Jenny finds the children completely out of control, angry and ill behaved. She understands why they are acting this way after losing their mother and then being abandoned by their father. She refuses to be forced to leave with one, she understands the grief and loss they feel, and second, she ha no where else to go. With the Duke back and hidden away in his rooms and in his cups, she decides to put all propriety aside and speak her mind to him. I really enjoyed this book. Jenny is a strong figure and is very outspoken when she feels she or others have been injured in any way. This is a beautiful story of love, family, forgiveness and second chances. Add the sweet romance into the mix. A fast and enjoyable read. 5 stars.

Lucy at age 6 watches her family and family home burn to the ground. She is found by a kindly man and taken to the Duke of Sutherland. They take her in as an orphan. She is made to be a maid and at the beckon calling of the Duchess. The only friend she has is the Duke's son George. They will grow up together and be each others best friend. As time passes, they find feelings of more than friendship. But a union is out of reach with her being the daughter of one of the Duke's former tenants. George is more interested in painting than learning to take over the rule of Duke someday. He is found to be most profound in his talent and begins to sell paintings. Lucy loves to write and has published some short stories but is working on a novel while George paints in his studio. This is a sweet love story with many twists and turns. The only thing I didn't like was you needed a dictionary to follow some of the writing. Took away from the story. 3 stars

Cami is back home after her beloved grandmother has passed away. She is now the owner of Chandler Inn. She would want her grandmother to be proud of her in this endeavor amidst all the problems she soon discovers. Expenses for the estate were lost by the overseer in some scheme. Yet she hires people that will help the inn maintain its reputation it once had with adding some new and updated aspects. As well as the Willamette Valley wines they are famous for. People and situations keep trying to trip her up with one being her ex-fiancé from France who is determined to ruin here because she will not go back to him. Finding a friend and confidant through Drew Farley, she finds that love can again resurface. This was a fun, clean, romantic story with many twists and turns. I did feel though, that it became too drawn out. Could have been condensed a bit and stay a great story. I also was not impressed with the ending. It felt like she rushed to get the book done. 4 stars

As in the time of lady's in their stations, they were married off by their parents for social standings and blood lines. Amelia is being forced to marry a man she hates. When being shipped off to Canada with her maid Anna (and dearest friend) to stay with her sister and to be with her betrothed, she is kidnapped by an American ship and taken to the colonies by Captian Johnathan Mitchell. He and his friend and shipmate Jake have been plundering the British fleet. In her stay on Johnathan's plantation, Amelia and Anna discover many differences from England to the America's and how they live. As upset as she is to be taken so rudely by this man, she finds her feelings for Jonathan are changing and she has no desire to go back to Canada or England. And Anna and Jake have fallen in love. How does Jonathan end up being challenged to a duel by Amelia's father? This was such a delightful, clean, suspenseful romance. Many twists and turn with the main characters. I would recommend this book to anyone.

Rebecca left after she could no longer survive on her own and her Irish heritage would make life more difficult with the prejudices towards the Irish. She thought she had purchased a ticket to London only to find out she had been cheated, money stolen, and headed to America instead. A kind gentleman paid her way and when they hit Massachusetts, he took her as his wife so she would be safe and cared for. After her husband is killed she leaves for Connecticut where she is hired by a kind woman. Knowing Rebecca needs a happy life of her own, she persuades Rebecca to answer a mail order bride advertisement. Finding herself in a Wyoming town and her fiancé' in jail for attempted murder she is uncertain if she should go back to her old home and job. Seth Michealson is an angry man after being abandoned by his father when he was 18 and having a grandfather who he can never please. Seth and Rebecca's adventure starts there. This is a beautiful western, historical clean romance. There are many twists and turns in the story. A very touching story of love, forgiveness, adventure and suspense. I did feel however, that the story became very drawn out and much dialogue and descriptions became too repetitious, which caused me to scan pages. I also found the dialogue a bit too sappy at times. Seth never came off in dialogue as a western rancher. He spoke more like an Englishman. 4 stars

I really enjoyed the nice, romantic, clean romance. Two best friends from childhood find themselves back in their old town. Laney McAllister is back on her families ranch after college, but her then husband wasn't into the ranch life and left with Laney and her daughter Bailey up in debts. Graham Whittaker taking over his fathers energy company since his father has died. He has bought a lodge and part ranch to live in. Feeling sort of out of his element and use to running his own business and his own life has him asking a lot of help from Laney. Over the holidays, Graham has opened up the lodge for all of his family to celebrate. Laney and Bailey's home is without heat and power after a horrible snow storm. All of a sudden everyone has been thrown together under one roof. You really find out more a person under such a scenario. This book was fun, heartwarming and romantic. Struggles with old baggage, emotions running high and finding out what one really wants out of life.
Very enjoyable book. 5 stars
