The Long Return: A Regency Romance: The Returned Lords of Grosvenor Square by Rose Pearson
It was a fun, clean, historical romance story. Much of it was hard to believe that a young woman would be so bold and aggressive in that time, but I loved her spunk just the same. I felt so for the two main characters and enjoyed hissing at the villain. The story was romantic, sad at times, suspenseful and intriguing. The ending of course was predictable, that is usual in these books. If you are looking for an enjoyable, fast reading romance, I would suggest it. 4 stars

The second book of the series is now giving us Nathan's interpretation of the events of Caitlin. Her abduction, rapes, torture and how he found her left for dead and her road to any sort of recovery. If possible. You can't but cry with her, hurt with her and admire her courage as she seeks for vengeance against her attackers. As like the first book, it is a dark, emotional, raw and sometimes touching story. It leaves you with sweaty palms and knife in your soul. It has a soft side as the Nathan and Caitlin connect, and a lot of suspense and mystery. I find myself thinking of it during the day long after finishing the book. I love this series and can't wait to read the last one. NOTE: I feel it would be best to read these books in order. 5 stars

This was a great quick read. Lissie is a mail order bride who agreed to marry a lawman. She craves adventure from her upper-crust life and doesn't care for the social scene. Before she can even get married she is kidnapped by an outlaw who seeks revenge against Lissie's fiance. She is to make a choice between the outlaw and the life of the sheriff. Really? This is a quick, clean, fun short story. I read it in one day. 5 stars
**I received a free copy of this book from the author, Lorelei Brogan, and this is my voluntary and honest review.**

Both Wren and Keegan have some old baggage and scars between them. Both have suffered loss in their lives and some sort of disfigurement. They are thrown together at Wren's dairy farm during an unusual snow storm. Keegan knocks on her door to get out of the storm. Keegan is out looking for revenge to the person who killed his wife and daughter and left him with burn and emotional scars. Wren has a limp after she and her parents were in an auto crash and her parents killed . Both characters feel isolated and lonely and angry. This is a clean, romantic and suspenseful book at times. This book a fantastic story line, but the author dragged the whole story out by constantly going over and over dialogue, descriptions of emotions and thoughts. A good editor could trim this story down to novella length without loosing anything except the repeats. I felt like I was reading the same passages over and over. There was also many typos the editor should have caught and corrected. I found myself scanning over a lot of the book until I found a new and interesting aspect. It could have been condensed and still kept it as a great story. 2 stars

A clean series of historical romance during the autumn season. A collection of 8 shorter stories. Took me a long time to get through them, but they were delightful.

Sarah Holtz, is the Jotter families nanny. Being an orphan she loves being included with the family. The patriarch, Alvan is a very distant and sometimes cruel man.His wife, (second wife) is expecting another child and needs so much help. Her step children can be sometimes outright mean and disrespectful. Right before Christmas, Alvan, is found murdered. Something just doesn't feel right to Sarah. She finds papers that the previous wife had written about the dealings Alvan was in. Sarah goes to to Nathan, the oldest son to help her. In this discovery, they also discover their feelings for each other. This was a fast and fun read. 4 stars

This is a non-stop thriller. FBI Special Agent Diego Rivera is searching for his mother and brother that were booted out of the house years ago by his tirade father after learning of his wife's cheating and that his brother Mateo/Michael was a result of that affair. When a clue leads him to a Colombian village, me meets Tara, who is looking for her missing friend. Diego saves her in a mass shooting at a church. Who are they really after? Him or her. This is a very suspenseful, intriguing, thrilling book that spans Colombia and back to the states. I read it in just a couple of days. So many twists and turn in the story line with a touch of romance. I have not read the others in the series and felt this can be a stand alone book. I look forward to reading more of the series. 5 stars

Is a camera the window to the soul?
My Review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Aidan has worked in the mines during the day and worked at nigh to make enough money to buy a dairy herd and build a home. After he gets enough money and purchases his herd, he feels he needs someone to help with the loneliness and with some of the chores. Meredith lost both her parents and although she has a privileged life, her aunt and uncle whom she is cared by do not like her and want her out of the house. She answers a mail order ad for a bride, and decides to leave to start an adventure. This was a clean, enjoyable book to read. 5 stars

A perfect end to a rather dark, emotional and psychological series. Caitlin and Nathan find themselves together again in this finale'. Caitlin has moved back to her town and is now a doctor and has dealt with the trauma and scars from her abduction, torture and rape. Nathan is still traumatized and has a hard time dealing with the past events. Caitlin is determined to make Nathan talk to her about all of this after she discovers emails he has been sending to his deceased sister Alanna, who was the first victim of the animals who did this to Caitlin. But Alanna was murdered in the end. Another gripping book. There is a great deal of emotional and psychological complexity in this book. It takes your emotions and soul and twists and turns it. Excellent writing. 5 stars

A sweet story. I love reading in this era. Amalie has had much sorrow in her life and when her son comes back injured from the fighting and takes him to Duncliffe, she meets a wounded soldier. Bronan is younger than Amalie and is not of the title or brought up by title as she has. Plus, Amalie has her son to think of. This story has many twists and turns in and there is always some sort of action going on. At times it became a bit too drawn out, but not for very long. There were some issues with editing that should have been taken care of. And of course, there is the wonderful romance that the author always writes about and is tasteful regarding it. The ending blew my mind. 4 stars
