What Are You Reading (2019)?

A clean, inspirational romance book filled with love, meanness, romance, suspense and intrigue, and a belief in oneself and God and even some forgiveness. A battle of good against evil and will to live and survive. Each chapter was written in the first person of each character, which I really enjoyed. There were many sub plots but it all came together in the book very well. The bad people received their comeuppances and the good were given the love and goodness that life has to offer. I really enjoyed this book and the author. 5 stars

]A sweet, fun and romantic novella. The prequel to Love's Second Chance series. I enjoyed how Alexander thought Sophie was Helen. What a dilemma that was. And how a so called rake like Pierce Dunsworth can be tamed by a beautiful, energetic woman. The double epilogues were wonderful. The whole history of the families. This was so enjoyable for me. I was given this book for free and this is my honest review. 5 stars

A story during the Napoleonic era in 1813 where Louise and Arnaut are both spies and message runners. Louise is living with her too demanding brother and her cruel sister in law with her grandfather. After meeting Arnaut, she is smitten but knows she is below him and it could never be anymore to it. The story is full of suspense, mystery, a touch of romance and a lot of drama. The two characters are very well defined, strong and likable. It was fun to follow them along their journey to get important information to their sources with two despicable people on their trails. It was a story that was hard to put down. It was a clean and fun story to read, with that touch of romance. 4 stars

This was a very fun, inspirational, clean, suspenseful book to read. Some slight romance, but the story of a young woman who is set to get revenge to the saloon owner/pimp that killed her mother the day she was born. She was taken in by a friend of her mothers who taught her how to use weapons and martial arts. He also tried to teach her a sense of forgiveness. The story progresses in their trail to find Coop, the bad man, and bring him to justice in her own way. Some parts got a bit too drawn out for the most part, it was a very intriguing story. This was a book that was one that is hard to put down. You never know what will happen next.

This book was such a treat! An independent woman thrown from her home India to become a Countess in England. Amelia's mother has sent her papers in a box on her voyage to England. Amelia discovers letters from her guardian Alexander and discovers her mother has betrothed her to a man. When she arrives in England with her maid and friend Tanvi, she discovers Alexander is the most handsome man she has ever seen, a man much like her late father and that her betrothed Ambrose makes the hairs on the back of her neck stand up on end. The characters in this book are so much and believable. The story takes you on a slow ride of a budding romance until "mommy dearest" descends on England for her daughters first season. The story is romantic, suspenseful and quite steamy at times. What a treat it was to have an extended epilogue to download to see how the characters have evolved. A wonderful read. 5 stars

The last book in the series Culpepper Misses is a perfect ending. The first few paragraphs of the book had me hooked. Blaire seeing her only love back from the city and on the arms of another woman is gut wrenching. Julian is betrothed to the woman his late brother was engaged to and is now caring his brothers child. If the child is a boy, he becomes the heir. So Julian needs to do the honorable thing and marry her, even though he doesn't love Daphne but has always loved Blaire secretly. Daphne and her mother are nothing but pure evil. After an accident, Julian is left injured, concussed and has amnesia. The story takes a big turn as lies, chaos and love come to light. The two orphaned puppies are such a delight to the story. This is a story of love, family, lies, trust and some suspense thrown in. It is a fast read, although at times I felt the descriptions were a bit too wordy and found myself scanning over them. A sad, but beautiful epilogue at the end. 5 stars
