What series (or book) are you reading in 2019?
Oh my, I have so many series books that I want to read in 2019, it would take forever to list them. The ones I'm most looking forward to, though, include:The Last Second, by Catherine Coulter & J.T. Ellison
The Malta Exchange, by Steve Berry
Force of Nature, by Jane Harper
Lowcountry Bonfire, by Susan M. Boyer
The Stone Circle, by Elly Griffiths
Fatality in F, by Alexia Gordon
The Skeleton Paints a Picture, by Leigh Perry
Perish from the Earth, by Jonathan F. Putnam
Whiplash, by Catherine Coulter
plus all the next-in-series books coming out that haven't been announced yet :)

My 2018 was slowly going through my series, and quickly adding series, lol. Sorry I haven't commented or participated much the past few years, but I have been sneaking in to see how you all are doing and keeping my series list updated. Now that my life has calmed down a bit (mostly changing jobs and such) I am hoping to be more active. I have missed chatting with you guys!!!My goal for series this year is to finish up the series where there is 1 or 2 books left to read, finish at least 5 series where the series is completed and catch up on 5 series that I am behind in but is still going. Lastly, I would like to keep up with the series I have already catched up in.
I am currently listening to Feared
which is book 6 in the Rosato & DiNunzio or book 17 in the Rosato-verse. I finished the standalone
last night.Sorry this is so long! And, also, Happy New Years!
I started a new series Karina Halle’s Experiment In Terror
. It is a freakfest and I loved it. My review https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Me too! I decided this year I was going to concentrate on series that I’ve had a long time.
I've just started listening to Long Road to Mercy, the first in a new series by David Baldacci. I always enjoy his books, so I have high hopes for this one, but my listening time will be limited for the rest of this week, and maybe longer, so it will be awhile before I finish it.

Do I keep going or make this fun series last? That’s my dilemma of the day, lol.
I finished The Best of Us by Robyn Carr, Sullivan’s Crossing #4, and loved this book! Here’s my review.
I’m reading Murder on Sisters' Row by Victoria Thompson, Gaslight Mystery #13.

@Laura - I hated Red Fox so much. I thought the way it handled her attempt rape was terrible, and the whole scene was unnecessary. I just overall didn't like any of the characters. I have the next on my kindle, so I'll read it and see if I want to continue. I'm happy you liked it though :)
I'm currently reading The Fireman by Joe Hill (It's a standalone though)
And then I'm working on Northern Lights/Golden Compass by Philip Pullman and No Rest for the Wicked by Kresley Cole
I read the novella

I’m still hooked on this so on to the next.

I didn’t mind that scene at all. I thought it totally fit with the bar scene. Bad things happen and she was not smart there. I was sort of expecting something like that to happen and would have been surprised if it didn’t. I’m glad the author isn’t playing it safe.
I just finished
The Guilty Dead by P.J. Tracy, which was #9 in the series and now I’m all caught up with that one. I liked it but not as much the one before it.
I love that series, Meera, and can't wait for book #10. I think book #9 was the first book written entirely by Traci, since PJ passed away two years ago, so maybe that would account for the difference you noticed?
The Boy by Tami Hoag 5-StarsBayou Mystery at it's Best

It must have been hard to write this book.
Thanks Jonetta!

To me the scene as a whole wasn't necessary, especially since the author decided not to deal with it. If I was experiencing an attempt rape, and being drugged so I could barely walk/stand I would probably not be completely okay the next day - just saying.
I finished reading
and I have a review of it here: Review I'm still working on these 2:

I finished reading City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments #1) by Cassandra Clare, 5 ★. Here's my review. I'm looking forward to moving on in this series.I am now reading Ashley Bell by Dean Koontz.

I read Year One last year, and was a little underwhelmed by the audio of it, as I thought it was difficult telling when the POV switched characters, because the narrator had the same voice for all the characters. Is the second one better?
I started Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas, time to finish the first series of the year (that I should have finished last year ;)).
Anita Reads wrote: "I read Year One last year, and was a little underwhelmed by the audio of it, as I thought it was difficult telling when the POV switched characters, because the narrator had the same voice for all the characters. Is the second one better?..."
Julia Whelan is the narrator and I had the complete opposite experience. Nora Roberts is notorious for confusing dialogue transitions so I’ve just grown accustomed to her writing style.
Since my experience was different, I’m not sure if my opinion would matter. See if there are other comments on Audible that speak to this point.
