Just wanted to say a quick thank you to you three for keeping this challenge alive! It honestly is so wonderful. I’ve dropped the ball a bit being swamped with too many review copies but I hope to try and catch up soon!
Also just wanted to let you know that the buddy chats are posted on our blog now if you did want to answer some questions about the books.
Well done with all your reads for this challenge!!

Making more of an effort to read from here on in because I need to relax more, been doing a lot of life things.
Book 1 was Underdog: #LoveOzYA Short Stories and then Book 2 was Risk (buddy read)
I have no idea what I am picking for October, but I'm hoping something spooky jumps out at me xD

#2: Black Lives Matter: Dear Martin by Nic Stone

#2: Transgender protagonist:
Buddy read: Finding Nevo by Nevo Zisin (#LoveOzYA title)

Which is seriously amazing and I loved it
2. Finding Nevo by Nevo Zisin
Which gave me all the feels and I spent a lot of time comparing my own journey with gender and sexuality to Nevo's.
I do love insight into the journey's of other non-binary people because it makes my own seem valid.
All in all the queerest month of happy reading feels xD

#1: Epic conclusions: Lady Helen and the Dark Days Deceit (Lady Helen #3) by Alison Goodman (#LoveOzYA)
#2: Verse novel:
Buddy read: The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo

I finished with Obsidio by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff.
And got my verse on with Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo.
I enjoyed Poet X, I'm a poetry and verse fan, and I'm into spoken word but I felt like it skipped some stuff and ended a little abruptly
Gotherella wrote: "I enjoyed Poet X, I'm a poetry and verse fan, and I'm into spoken wo..."
I've still need to read Poet X, shame the ending sounds like a let down. I'm still looking forward to it tho :-)

Please remember to only read YA books fitting each prompt in the month allocated. You can catch up on previous months but please do not read in advance. Only one graphic novel or novella can be read each month and each book can only count towards one prompt.
The buddy read will always cover the second prompt. So if you read the buddy read you only have to find a book to fit the first prompt. Of course you are more than welcome to find your own two books for the prompts and still take part in the buddy read :-).
Only one book each month must be a Aussie or Kiwi title. But we do appreciate you trying to cover as many prompts as possible with local talent :-).
