Just a heads up, Johanne, you need to remove the * from the spoilers in order for them to work ;)

Something tells me that will be an easy book for most members though.

But, unfortunately, your guess for the theme is incorrect (at least according to what I intended the theme to be :P)

Johanne *the biblionaut* | 1668 comments Board 2 bottom right looks a lot like(view spoiler)

Beth F | 63 comments I think #3 on board two is (view spoiler)

message 155: by Johanne (new)

Johanne *the biblionaut* | 1668 comments ha Laura I just saw that! I am on the app so thought it would be easier to just copy paste from an example. well apparently not in my flu-induced mind. Going on the website to edit now.

Jody (jodybell) | 3477 comments I am more or less done for the read-a-thon. I don't think I'll get any more books finished as we've a NYE thing tonight and then fly out early in the morning to Berlin. I'll check in if I manage to finish anything else, but I think fourteen books in a week isn't too shabby.

message 158: by Beth F (last edited Dec 31, 2018 07:50PM) (new)

Beth F | 63 comments I finished listening to The Ocean at the End of the Lane.

+4.75 hours of audio (total 5.75)

I don't think it works for anything else that's left--spreadsheet updated.

message 159: by Joanne (last edited Dec 31, 2018 01:20PM) (new)

Joanne | 477 comments Finished Pro: Reclaiming Abortion Rights for another 288 pages.

It also works for the 2018 prompt:
26: A book with a text only cover

spreadsheet updated

message 160: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (tracyisreading) | 2573 comments 189 pages of His Majesty's Dragon

message 161: by Marin (new)

Marin (marinbeth) | 187 comments Happy new year everyone!

Pages read since last update: 407 (total read 1,288)
Audiobook hours: 1.5 (total 4.75)

Books finished:
Perfume: The Story of a Murderer - my last ATY 2018 book! (22. A book you have high expectations or hope for).
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader - could count towards a children's book for board 2

I'm debating if I want to try and finish something else tonight and tomorrow or jump into my 2019 reading goals, which would give us pages but not other categories.

message 162: by Beth F (new)

Beth F | 63 comments This evening I finished A Matter of Class by Mary Balogh, doesn't meet any of the remaining prompts so pages only.
+208 pages (1209 total, spreadsheet updated).

I have 248 pages left to read in The 7½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle which I will finish tomorrow. It was nominated for a GR choice award in 2018 so it will work for prompt #31 if that's still left.

message 163: by Sabrina (new)

Sabrina | 393 comments Hey guy's happy new year!!
Here are today's updates:
Pending boxes: 26, 30, 37, 46, 48.

I finished the audio for mr. penumbra today (1 hour 45 minutes) and read 275 pages of siege and storm before midnight (I still counted it for 2018 though since it's more than half the book).

Tomorrow I really hope I can finish Siege and Storm, and Ruin and Rising but I'll probably have a bit left of ruin and rising at the very least. None of this will matter for the team challenge at this point but I really need to get these books done anyway so I can read Six of Crows!

message 164: by Kathy Jo (last edited Jan 01, 2019 06:24AM) (new)

Kathy Jo (kjsotr) | 304 comments I had plans of reading last night, but my son insisted on watching a movie together. So I only added 18 pages.

Working today so can't read too much, but looking forward to starting my 2019 books.

Have we been doing the games? I look at them but don't always post.

Updating the board now :)

message 166: by Johanne (last edited Jan 01, 2019 02:15PM) (new)

Johanne *the biblionaut* | 1668 comments I read the new illustrated (By Chris Riddell) edition of The Tales of Beedle the Bard - my first read of the year, yoohoo!
The Tales of Beedle the Bard by J.K. Rowling
It would work for a couple categories, but we seem to be mainly missing pages and audio. It´s 148 pages.
I won´t be able to read more since it´s getting late here (okay maybe before going to sleep I can update that later on the app). For some reason I thought the read-a-thon was tomorrow as well.
Do we have any ideas for the links between the books on the boards?

message 167: by Joanne (new)

Joanne | 477 comments Im not going to finish any books today but I am doing some reading so I’ll post my pages before the end of the night.

message 168: by Johanne (new)

Johanne *the biblionaut* | 1668 comments Another 60 pages for me, that's 208 today.

message 169: by Brittany (new)

Brittany Morrison | 478 comments I'm going to be working for the rest of the night so no more reading for me. I finished Battle Angel Alita Vol. 1which was 224 pages. I also listened to two more hours of audiobook.

message 170: by Marin (new)

Marin (marinbeth) | 187 comments For me today it's 339, for a total of 1627. I started stuff today but am not really close to finishing anything.

This was lots of fun!

message 171: by Kathy Jo (new)

Kathy Jo (kjsotr) | 304 comments I've got 80 pages so far today. Plan is to read for the next 2 hours or so, so I'll get a final tally later.

message 172: by Beth F (new)

Beth F | 63 comments I’ll be back with a final tally in a bit too. Once the kids are in bed I can log another couple hours of reading.

message 173: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Rayner (paperbackshay) | 14 comments I just finished My New Crush Gave to Me so you can add 241 pages and 1 book to my count. Sorry I have been so inactive, I have had bronchitis since Christmas Eve and haven't read anything! :(

message 174: by Kathy Jo (new)

Kathy Jo (kjsotr) | 304 comments Going to bed soon. Calling it done at 1320 pages, 3 hours audio, five books

The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency
74 Seaside Avenue
Long Walk to Water
Out of Africa
Wide Sargasso Sea

1 ATY book

Had fun. Thanks all!

message 175: by Sabrina (new)

Sabrina | 393 comments has anyone done today's game? other than that we have no more pending boxes.

message 176: by Joanne (last edited Jan 01, 2019 08:30PM) (new)

Joanne | 477 comments I read 162 pages of my current book so I'll just add that to my spreadsheet totals to finish out my page count.

Final page total of 1161.

message 177: by Joanne (new)

Joanne | 477 comments Sabrina wrote: "has anyone done today's game? other than that we have no more pending boxes."

If it was the quotes one, it looks like Tracy did.

message 178: by Sabrina (new)

Sabrina | 393 comments Great so the last pending box is 41!

It's midnight where I am which means the readathon is done for me!

All told, I read 3287 pages and logged 26.5 audio hours, for a total of 11 books (well, almost 11. I'm not quite finished with Ruin and Rising but I read more than 1/2 of it so I'm counting it). Not too shabby.

message 179: by Beth F (new)

Beth F | 63 comments I just finished The 7½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle with 45 minutes to spare on 1/1/19! :)

+248 pages to my previous amount (1,457 total)
+fits prompt #31 to read a book that was nominated for an award in 2018 (GR Choice)

Spreadsheet updated.
