Ok, I looked at everyone's books just to be sure because MKat won't be able to check until the task is over. Everyone's books are MPG romance and over 90 pages. I also checked all the published dates to make sure they are October, the only 'problem' I saw was one of yours, Becky, Healing in His Wings- it doesn't say it was published in October in the details under each edition, but on the main page and when you click on editions (up top), it says 'first published in October' so I'm thinking it *should* be fine.
if MKat doesn't accept it, no biggie as we are good for the 2 roses for 8 books no matter what. To get the 3rd rose, both Ferdinanda and Nicole need to read a book :)

Oh I’m so sorry to hear about your migraines :( I’ve heard they can be absolutely awful. Hopefully it’s a quiet slumber party and pool party? If there is such a thing lol.
Date 7 update - you earned 3 roses! 🌹
MKat announced a new wrinkle for the final week:*🌹*BONUS SERIAL DATE ROSES AVAILBLE FOR THIS DATE!!*🌹*
For every multiple of 8 books read, you will earn a rose. So 8 books is one rose, 16 books is 2 roses, 24 books is 3 roses... All books must qualify for the task, be MPG romance and a minimum of 90 pages with completions posted before the date ends.
So everybody keep reading, if you've got more than one book that qualifies!
Oh, and here's this week's theme:R is for Remedy
Read a book tagged with doctor, medical, illness or injury. This may alstho be qualified in the précis. Anything tag/shelf that indicates illness (specific or generic), injury (specific or generic), doctor (any kind, even a veterinarian or psychologist - not a PhD in history though ok?), hospital, clinic, etc is acceptable.
Remember books must be 90 pages and MPG romance!!

I have a good bit of experience with parents in the hospital in the last year or so. If the challenge is giving you a welcome distraction, that's great. (I know Pass the Parcel was that for me last spring.) But if it's causing you more stress, don't worry about it. Family is way more important!

Thanks for you support, it’s nice to read you. He is ok now, we were right to bring him directly to the Emergencies because he was diagnosed with a bacterial meningitis 😭I am relived,and now he is being taken care of with a huge amount of antibiotics but he is going to be ok. Now back to our challenge, I have something that might be good , but Kristen I need to check with you first because I saw that « wrong » by Jana Aston was tagged by you as want to read. Maybe are you already reading it??

Glad to hear your father is doing okay and is being taken care of :) I am not reading Wrong right now though it's on my (never ending) to read list! I am pretty sure we can read the same book for the challenge anyway. But either way you are good!

I just double checked, so we definitely can read the same book: Books can only be read once per person during the challenge even if it fits multiple categories. The same book can be read by teammates though.
I have a couple other books that work for the task, so I'll read as many of those that I can and I'll read that one last, if I need to - just to be safe haha :)

I check in on her blog every once in a while, and she still talks about writing projects a lot, but as far as I know she hasn't published anything new since 2010.

i'm trying my hardest to get us at least one extra rose, because why not! i mean, i'm ignoring all my other responsibilities but at least we'll get another rose. haha.
I should be able to get one more book read for this challenge, no problem. I might even squeeze in two, if I find another short one in KU that fits the theme.
