* I consider Misty Copeland a personal hero, since she is a first black woman to become a principal dancer in ABT and as such had to break a lot of long-standing stereotypes. I am in a male-dominated profession and as a woman I can identify with a lot of her struggles. Just like her, I did not come into my profession as early as some people.
