Oooh, that looks like an interesting pair! I was thinking more along the lines of an Agatha Christie novel and then its stage adaptation of the same name. I'm hoping to make some progress on my Christie challenge next year, since I seem to have stalled out this year.

I've read both and thought both were okay. The Simon Wood book is a mystery/thriller and the Leigh Himes book is chick-lit of the amnesia & "what if I made a different romantic choice" variety.

Still Lives by Maria Hummel (mystery/thriller and a Reese Witherspoon pick)
I am probably going with this pairing because I already own both and have been wanting to start the Inspector Gamache series for years.

My back up choice is:

I own both of them as well and accidentally keep forgetting about them when shiny new books arrive.

While looking up At the Water's Edge, by Sarah Gruen, for my ancestry prompt this year, I found so many Water's Edge titles, that I started adding them to my Overdrive wish lists!

I think I'll read, The Water's Edge by Karin Fossum and The Water's Edge, by Daniel Judson.

And for good measure, I might read, Water's Edge, by Robert Whitlow, for my book with two words in the title.

I might also continue to keep looking for books with my favorite color, Green, in the title. I started reading those this year, just as a sub-challenge.
