I’ve finished Transcription (audio), & most of Faithful Place (audio), but now I’m gonna take an audio break & dive into An Absolutely Remarkable Thing (physical). 📚📚📚
The Intuitionist by Colson Whitehead. It's good, but my dog is angry I invited people over so I'm not making the progress I hoped for :/
I'm almost done with The Dark Elf Trilogy by R.A. Salvatore, page 572 of 808 pages, at the start of the readathon
moving on to the 5th book, Dilarang Mencintai Bunga-Bunga, short stories by Kuntowiloyo from Indonesia. Pretty much a classic in my country.
I just finished these graphic novels:
I'm going back and forth between this audiobook
and this physical book
for the time being.
I am juggling three books this evening: The Swedish Prince on audio, Whiskey in a Teacup: What Growing Up in the South Taught Me About Life, Love & Baking Biscuits, and Children of Blood and Bone
Just about to start what I think will be a creepy read. The Call by Peadar O' Guilin..... Have Shaddow and Bone on audio and have been reading the short stories out of The Language of Thorns.
I've just finished Miss Seeton Draws the Line by Heron Carvic, and 64 pages into Buried for Pleasure by Edmund Crispin but am going to switch the Le Chateau de Hurle by Diana Wynne Jones. Not sure my eyes can hold out much longer.
Currently listening to The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan. I have 2 hours left in the audiobook. It’s 9:21 pm here and I’m finally getting around to participating in the readathon. I don’t know what hour it is here.
I'm currently reading The Happiest Toddler on the Block: How to Eliminate Tantrums and Raise a Patient, Respectful and Cooperative One- to Four-Year-Old: Revised Edition.
I just read "Franklin's Flying Bookshop" by Jen Campbell - a perfect way to start the morning hours :DNow I'm continuing on in "Muse of Nightmares"
After reading with the kiddos and putting them to bed, I switched to Assassin's Quest and hung out with my eldest for a bit and let him "readathon" with me until he fell asleep. He's reading about Minecraft.
I'm reading Crooked Kingdom which I'm loving. I'm listening to War and Peace which I'm not. The plot is almost non-existent and the characters are not nearly interesting enough to make up for it.
I'm currently reading Tithe by Holly Black and about to start the audio of the 3rd book in To all the boys I've loved before. So far I have finished two books first-Ever in a teacup by Reese Witherspoon and P.s. I still love you. Total reading time 4 hours
I just finished audiobook of The Machine Stops by E.M. Forster Something different for me, Science fiction. Suggested by a GR friend.
I colored (relaxed) while I listened. Will look for short audio books to listen and color.

I just finished The Dark Elf Trilogy by R.A. Salvatore!! 236 pages read in 4 hours and 50 mins! I'm going to start The Icewind Dale Trilogy also by R.A. Salvatore next :D
I am hanging in there by doing audio books. Just seems far more relaxing. Currently I am listening to Perrault's unabridged fairy tales on Hoopla.
I continue to hone my Readathon practices. I will borrow Books on CD as well as use Hoopla's services next time. I can listen, think, and color at same time. Good time for novellas and fairytales--so fat that works. More complicated books I am not enough practiced at listening to.

I've finally found the book that resonates with me for this readathon, Assassin's Quest, the one I've been looking forward to all day. I've been at it now for the last three hours.

Audio books are life savers during the final hours of the readathon. My only problem was that I would close my eyes for a little bit to rest and next thing I knew I was napping! Maybe I should try colouring books at the same time.
40 minutes left in The Book Thief. I'm kinda scared - so many people I know that don't cry easily have said they were sobbing at the end.
I started Nadeem Aslam's The Golden Legend in hour 9. Had it on my shelf since publication since I'm a huge fan, and was afraid I would be disappointed. shouldn't have been!!! It's gripping and gorgeous as usual. <3
Turned out many of my books to be read had a male protagonist so switching to a favorite female led book series from my childhood...this one is Trixie Belden and The Red Trailer Mystery...easy and comforting read for the last few hours.
Currently reading Nobody CaresNobody Cares by Anne T. Donahue....finishing off the readathon with a Canadian author! Woot
