Im currently reading "Bare en natt til" (Just one more night) by the Norwegian bloger Annjor. I have a goal to finish all the books on my Currently Reading. 3 left, but 2 of them have been there for over a year now...
I’m starting with Democracy by Henry Adams, a short novel about politics set in nineteenth century Washington, D.C. I’m enjoying the humorous asides by the author as he sets the stage for the story.
Started with my current read
, a compilation of essays on bookshops.Edited to add: it's a physical book.
Going to finish around 60% of
and then try to run through 75% left of
or 60% left of
. Gonna try my best. Intense books indeed! Excpt for early '90. Mankell, but it's Swedish, Mankell and Wallander #1 so it's a must read.Have a nice 24 hours (well, 22,5 if you don't plan to add this 1,5 h missed as I plan to >:) ) read!
Pam wrote: "It's an all Star Wars readathon for me as I try to whittle down my TBR. Starting with Aftermath by Chuck Wendig. May the Force Be With You!"Oh, I really like the idea of having a themed TBR for the readathon! I might do that next time.
Started the morning listening to The Witch Elm,I'm reading Freezing Point from 21%, which I wanted to finish yesterday but didn't, and then will be reading Blitzball (both for review).
I started with reading The Bazaar of Bad Dreams and now I'm starting my audiobook, Cujo, while making breakfast.
A Wizard of Earthsea! Hoping to finish it up, I've taken entirely too long to do so. Dewey's always resets me when I hit a reading slump, though!
Just finished re-reading Shifting Shadows by Patricia Briggs and started on a new Robert Jackson Bennet, Foundryside. I really loved his Divine Cities series, so quite looking forward to it
I'm starting with Gone with the Wind this morning. Yes, it's huge. But it's what I'm already reading, so I'll go with it. Currently on page 102.Happy reading everyone!
I've finished the book I started before the readathon, so I've jumped into Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. I'm also reading a non-fiction anthology, but I'm spacing that one out throughout the day
I just finished Lonesome Dove (which I've been reading for 2 weeks or so). I'm about to start Jane, Unlimited by Kristin Cashore.
Currently reading Fall of Giants. About to take a break to listen to an audiobook and work on one of my crochet projects.
Ashwini wrote: "Reading and listening to Lincoln in the Bardo. It is a different experience!"I loved Lincoln in the Bardo. How are you enjoying it so far?
I just finished Citizen: An American Lyric and will now listen to a couple of hours of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone while I make food and deal with a couple of household chores. Because you can never go wrong with Harry Potter. :D
I am currently reading the very first Warrior Cats! I think I’m about 70% in at the moment, and am really loving it. I might be late to the series, but better late than never eh!
@nycbookhoarder- I'm currently reading Dread Nation. It's a YA novel in which zombies plague a post Civil War America.
Camilla wrote: "I had loads of plans and books preplanned, but they're all quite "dark" and the sun is shining here, and my library hold became available, so I am reading"I'm looking forward to reading that later today! I think I'm gonna save it for when I'm flagging a little so I have something that will definitely keep me interested. I just finished a nice chunk of Wives and Daughters because I know that's something that needs to be read when I'm still fresh and excited. Up next I think I'll try to finish The Turn of the Screw.
I’m reading The Elementals by Michael McDowell... and when I can’t sit to read I’m listening to The Book of Life by Deborah Harkness. 😃
Pam wrote: "It's an all Star Wars readathon for me as I try to whittle down my TBR. Starting with Aftermath by Chuck Wendig. May the Force Be With You!"That sounds like fun! What all is on your TBR? I might be reading some NJO later today. I've been too mad about TLJ to read anything new :( and I want to get back into my SW love.
I'm about 80% finished with my first book which is The Lady's Guide to Petticoats and Piracy
Really enjoying it!
I just finished The Bear and the Nightingale and am starting Limelight as soon as I finish a 1/2 hour of cheerleading. ;-)
