Review:
This series is like a guilty pleasure for me, it is not a master piece or whatever, but it was really fun and it made me remember what it was like to read when I was a teenager hahaha.
So I'm happy to finish this series, the third book wasn't necessary, but I enjoyed it, actually I devored it.
I don't want to be spoilery, so in general, Of Neptune is the final book in The Syrena Legacy Series, Emma and Galen are going on a road trip and they end up in the city Neptune, wich is kind of a secret city, their relationship is put to a test when they fight at the beggining but everything gets more serious when Galen is kidnapped. Of course there's a little love triangle too, as any typical YA book.
I love Emma and Galen together, but for some part of the book, I was rooting for the other guy, it just did more sense to me.
Anyways, it was a fun, quick and easy read =P

Book: Hidden by Rebecca Zanetti
Qualification: Deep Ops #1
Pages: 400
Read: 9/25
Rating & Review: ★★★★
A very good start to a new series. This one was more story than romance. Pippa and Malcolm want to be free of their past and also sleep well at night. They both have been looking over the shoulder for so long that peace is a luxury they dare not wish for.
Malcolm is drawn into a new case and it involves Pippa. How can he get her to share her past when he won’t come clean about his own secrets.
This series is a departure from what Rebecca Zanetti’s normal narratives. It read more like a suspense thriller than a Romaric suspense. The author laid down a foundation for an off the books Homeland Security Department task force. I think it’s going to be really good as each member gets their own story.
I enjoyed Malcolm and Pippa getting to a place where they had someone to trust and finding love. It was kind of fast but it makes sense since they were starved for human contact. I enjoyed this story as it had just enough romance to keep me going.

Review ~ I'm loving this series. This one centers on Calder. Yes, ladies, Calder falls and falls hard does he! Jack and George are back too! Squee, lol. I love them. Audrey was a riot. Crazy how she and Calder were like two peas in a pod. I have yet to read an Ilona Andrews book I didn't like.

Review: This is the second book in the Graveyard Queen series. Amelia is a cemetery restorer and she accepts a job in lonely Asher Falls. Asher Falls is nearly a ghost town after a dam is built and part of the town is flooded, including the original cemetery. The local rich family's private cemetery becomes the new town cemetery and this is the cemetery that Amelia is hired to restore. However, there are many secrets in this town, including a lonely grave on the side of the mountain, a feeling of evil and secret from Amelia's past. It was an interesting to follow Amelia on this adventure. I'm sure this is going to have an effect on her future. I look forward to seeing how this changes things. I also really liked Angus and I'm glad he is staying with Amelia.

This one didn't capture my interest quite as much as the first one did, although I did still enjoy it. For some reason, the addition of some romance in this installment didn't really click with me, most likely because I don't see Ricky being the one Olivia ultimately ends up with, so I had a hard time really investing myself in her scenes with Ricky. Everything regarding the mystery about the body that keeps popping up in Olivia's vicinity was very interesting, and I liked some of the revelations we got regarding the city and what's going on. I will be continuing the series!

Review: I'm enjoying this series!! Starts up a few months after all the action from book 1. Everyone believes The Seven of Spades killer was 'caught' and killed himself. Everybody has gone back to their comfy lives except for Levi who doesn't believe at all that the killer is gone. He spends all his 'off hours' working the case alone from home until his new boyfriend finds out. He's ready for Dominic to call him crazy and walk away. He's surprised when Dominic agrees with him and offers to help him. Add a new case of a horrid man killed on the Strip while at a convention where nobody really cares that he's dead, a runaway somehow involved all while they are figuring out where they are at with each other made for a fun action packed read. Who is the Seven of Spades Killer, have we met him/her/them? Levi and Dominic are beginning to trust each other. I enjoyed learning about Dominics friends and family. We meet more people in both their work lives. How do they all fit. Is one of them the killer??!? That ending!!!!??? I need book #3 stat :)

Review:
I enjoyed this second book in the series well enough to give it more than 3 stars. It's been a really long time since I read the first, so all the characters, esp the MCs in this one, were like brand new to me. I didn't really remember them at all from the first book. The male MC was supposedly a bad boy/manwhore turned good guy after falling for the female MC. And he was but he fell for her off screen, 2 years ago when they first met, before the actual beginning of this book. Not sure how much of a bad boy he was in the intervening two years since we don't see anything that has happened in that time. What we do see in this is a guy who has fallen for a girl who is afraid to fall in love and his efforts to convince her he is a safe place to fall. He was a little bad boyish but definitely not a manwhore in this book. The story is focused on her growth arc, from someone who doesn't trust to falling for and trusting in him as well as herself. I enjoyed the story, though it was fairly predictable start to finish. I remember being surprised at the depth of the first book, so the fact this one was so predictable was slightly disappointing. I did enjoy the banter between the MCs, so that made it not boring. I'll read the last book in the series and I'd probably try something else by this author if it landed in front of me but I doubt I go searching it out.

I'll be finished with mine in a few more hours. Just got in from work and am about to buckle down to finish.

Review:
This book has had my emotions all over the place. At times it was hard to read, for no other reason than it was pulling at something inside of me that I can't explain. It is raw, both emotionally and sexually.
Diana is now trying to do what she can to save her marriage, as well as coming better acquainted with her knew found submissiveness. This journey is not easy, especially since Adam has reasons that I don't think he has ever dealt with for why he can't love a submissive.
So we have a woman who can't love a man like Adam was before. No kink, no dominance, Mr. Nice Guy. The guy Adam was "pretending" to be: Mr. Vanilla. And we have a man who can't love a submissive woman even though he is a Dom. He wants who he allowed himself to believe Diana was. Ms. Vanilla
Add some outside forces to the mix, a death and grief, and you have yourself a very complicated journey.
BUT... You also have the journey of two people getting to know one another, for real, and learning to live with and possibly love what they find. Two people who need each other, but haven't figured out how to be true to themselves and get what they want/need from the other person.
(I hope that makes sense)

Reading this book was like watching The Devil Wears Prada movie and I loved that.
Landon, the MC wants to work as an event planner, and working for Selah Smith is the best way to do it. So she moves to LA and and starts working at SSE, only it's turns out to be nothing like what she was looking for. She finds herself running errands for her me boss and not exactly planning events as she dreamed for.
It was really fun to read this book, I love a good chic lit every now and then

I like this story but i still found Conn to be a bit of an asshole. Vanessa was definitely different from the girl introduced in book 1.
Less drinking and more conscious of her future than I thought. Knowing Conn’s background helped me not hate him. Why woman are attracted to him boggles the mind. I do like that every character has a background that makes them more complex that meets the eye. So this series isn’t smutty...though i also like smut!

*sighing* This book and series could be so much more if the authors lightened up on the emphasis on sex. These characters start off all hot and bothered in the beginning, and we don’t get to really know what makes them tick until mid way in the story.
We met Lord and Elle in the last book
.
Lord is the older brother to Conn, the hero of the last book and Elle is the best friend to Vanessa, heroine of the last book.
Elle is doing everything she can do annoy her mom and stepdad because of their snobbish, hypocritical and controlling attitudes. Elle’s mom married a couple of weeks after Elle’s dad passed away and she never really got a chance to deal with it.
Lord’s mom died when he was 8 and that began a painful childhood that saw Lord separated from his younger brother Conn.
Just like the last book, the characters are likable once you get to know them and have very compelling stories. It’s just overshadowed by their casual sexual behaviors. Their chemistry was okay as they fit well into each other’s lives. It was an okay book

This one definitely kicked it up a notch, after a slightly disappointing second installment. My attention was captured in the very first chapter, and it never let go. There weren't really any slow parts, and I have no complaints at all. Even the romance aspect seemed to improve after the last one. I liked Ricky a bit better in this one, and his relationship with Olivia seemed to go deeper than just sex in this one, which made it more enjoyable for me. I still am rooting for Gabriel, but if Liv decides to stick with Ricky, I may be OK with that. I will definitely be reading the next one.

We could use the free pass, but if you are able to read a shorter book that would be best. We might need that free pass later.

Review: this is a "re-listen". I love this series. I gobbled up every one when they came out and was sad when she had her 'end' to The Meg series. Things are heating up more between The Others and the humans who feel they should be in control of everything (man we are a greedy bunch of arseholes in theis series, lol ~ well not all of us). Meg is trying to learn better ways to control her cutting and see if she can complete prophecy without the cut using other means so that she may teach the other girls who were rescued in the last book. Simon and Meg are feeling their way around a friendship/relationship. Totally cute and surprisingly innocent. The Lizzie makes it all the way to the lakeside courtyard by herself to be with her dad, Lieutenant Montgomery ~ unfortunately she also brings trouble with her. Temperatures are rising, emotions are escalating on both sides. Humans push it and lives are lost. Unknown to the humans this has brought an even scarier form of "Others' out of 'let's say hibernation'. Looking forward to the next book. I'm so enjoying this re-read as I wait for her to finish the next book after Lake Silence > March can't get here soon enough....what am I saying I'm no way close to being ready for the holidays, lol :0)
