The Woman in White I'm a big fan of Wilkie Collins. If you liked Moonstone, check out Woman in White!

I am on a bit of a sci fi kick, reading Men at Arms,
by Terry Pratchett and listening to the audiobook BBC adaptation of
by Isaac Asimov.
The weather served as a good excuse to spend most of the weekend indoors reading. We had close to seven inches of snow here, which wouldn't have been so bad were it not for the wind that kept windchills below zero. Listening to it howl all day gave me chills.
Read The Good Ghouls' Guide to Getting Even by Julie Kenner on Friday (YA vampire; finished in one day), and read Lady Susan by Jane Austen (classic novella) on Sunday. Also spent most of Saturday and part of Sunday reading A Passage To India by E.M. Forster -- the January classics group read, which I got a late start on and which I've not yet finished.

I read during the storm here too Heather! The winds were awful and woke me up because I thought someone or something was trying to get into the house!

Ugh, I hate listening to the wind at night -- I'm glad our winds died down a bit by the time I went to bed. Listening to it all afternoon is bad enough, but like you I would have had difficulty sleeping if they had been that strong during the night.
I hope they send the plows out again today/tonight, too. We have alternate side parking, which means everyone had to park on my side of the street overnight (you park on the even side if the next day's date is even). The south side of the street is all neat and tidy, while my side is a royal mess from people trying to dig themselves out. I was also surprised that trash pickup was early today. I expected it to be later, what with all the snow and cleanup going on.

So they can at least plow one side of the street fully Jennifer. If people are parked on both sides it becomes a big mess and they can not plow very much.

Glad you liked it. I was worried after reading some early reviews. Loved the first book.

What Heidi said. It works great if they come back later to clean the other side, which they actually did overnight Monday or early Tues morning when they also sanded. We had almost seven inches on Sunday, then another 2.5 Tuesday evening. At least there was no wind with Tuesday's! I was walking up near the park when the snow started and saw wild turkeys loping through a field of snow -- you couldn't help but laugh watching them. At least someone seems to enjoy it, LOL.

Anyway... when I'm not reading a cozy, I try to find something from the classics... I've been reading Portrait of a Lady off and on for two years. My genres tend to swing all over.
I just finished Cross My Heart, by Sasha Gould. Very lyrical, particularly for present-tense prose... but her writing style seemed to be unappreciated in reviews.
And I'm reading the less lyrical The Book of Eleanor. Enjoyable, readable...
No idea what I'll read next. Glad to find others that read three, four, twenty books at one time... :)
I'm currently reading (and loving) What If?: Serious Scientific Answers to Absurd Hypothetical Questions. Interesting and incredibly funny.

we in the process of movie so all my book's are in boxes and, I pack few books that I could bring with me. right now I am reading Red Hill.
I've been reading Open Season
by Archer Mayor - my first Joe Gunther. Very involving and a great plot with a great pace.
Heidi (Yup. Still here.) wrote: "I keep hearing about that one and hope to get to it soon.."I'm loving it and highly recommend it.
Completed The Shadow Over Innsmouth as included in The Complete Works of H.P. Lovecraft.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Just finished MaddAddam
by Margaret Atwood. Not as good as the first two in the trilogy, but still a great read!https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Heidi (Yup. Still here.) wrote: "I think I will check out the audiobook of it Jennifer. Thanks!"Actually, this one might not come out so well in Audio: he uses a lot of cartoon drawings in each segment (some of which are hilarious) and I don't know how you'd get those across on audio. He occasionally shows formulas for some of the equations too, although those would be easier to read aloud.
Just a heads up. :)
Am almost done with A Passage To India, and have also started The Story of Doctor Dolittle -- the latter is for the Ultimate Challenge.

Ok thanks. I'll check the reviews on Audible to see what people think of the audio :)

I just finished The Case of Charles Dexter Ward I am starting to love Lovecraft
I'm reading the second book in a series, Dune Messiah and also another Elizabeth Gaskell, North and South.
I continued reading Mrs Dalloway
by Virginia Woolf last night. Looking forward to starting Obsession in Death
by J.D. Robb today!
I'm reading
. It's fabulous. I feel guilty that it is taking me so long to read, but I'm in the middle of edits for my own book. The Other Woman is so good that I'm finding myself planning reading time - a bit a day.
Continued reading The Wars of the Roses
by Alison Weir last night. Looking forward to continuing Obsession in Death
by J.D. Robb today.
5 stars for Roxanne Henke's After Anne. Emotional roller coaster..bring Puffs. Hard to believe this is her first book!
Currently I'm reading Ghost Story by Peter Straub for another book club I'm in. So far it's been pretty good--horror is one of the kinds of books I like to read when not reading a cozy.
I just read Husband's Secret last month. It was decent but I guessed some stuff early on and did not like the ending.
I continued listening to Obsession in Death
by J.D. Robb and reading The Wars of the Roses
by Alison Weir
Finally (!) finished A Passage To India by EM Forster, and also finished The Story of Doctor Dolittle by Hugh Lofting. Am now reading an older rom-suspense by Anne Stuart, Tangled Lies.
