So you don't believe the 99% of scientists that tell us climate change is a danger?

Been meaning to read that as John and Abigail, as well as Sam Adams, John Hancock and John Jay are all in my family tree.

I am enjoying both."
Loved Mr. Mercedes! Looking forward to the final book in that trilogy this year.

I'm one of those people who wasn't crazy about the middle book and liked the last one.

I'm with you Kirsten! Man is his own worst enemy and we are killing ourselves.

I have not read the book but wonder what the agenda is behind this myth?

Love it!!! I'm reading the sequel

It does take awhile to get going, but it's absolutely worth sticking with! I read it some years back and gave it 5-stars!

This one has been on my TBR list forever. Eventually I'll get to it. HOpefully it gets better!

I haven't gotten up to Winter yet but I did buy Cress for the ultimate reading challenge of a fairy tale retold. But I do LOVE this series, it's so well written.
Right now I'm going to start reading

Gah! How I loved Cress. I think it was my only 5 star read last year.
My current non-cozy reads are: Planetfall
, Legacy
, The Gilded Life of Matilda Duplaine
and a great YA novel through Netgalley
Into the Dim.

Okay, addressing all of you who made comments on my comment about A Disgrace to the Profession.:
The book is not Steyn's opinion on whether climate change exists - of course it does, the evidence is overwhelming. But the premise that global warming has only existed to the degree it does at present because of the industrial age is based on a scientific study that has been proven to be terribly flawed - it is commonly known as the hockey stick. This entire book - via the top scientific men and women in the earth science field on the planet - refutes this study. In fact, evidence is very strong that the world has had significant warming trends in days gone by. Trouble is, after a decade of touting it, passing legislation based on it, and tons of money being made by it, a lot of people are slow to acknowledge the fact it doesn't hold up.

Also started:The Fate of Mercy Alban

So far, I'm really enjoying it. I also have the second book and will probably get the 3rd and 4th (which is the Return to Tradd St).

I loved this book! I think it's a perfect book for kids. Not only is it fun (and funny) but it also presents a wonderful message of peace and tolerance. There's not just aliens but different cultures and ethnic groups, and very strong girl characters! Sure hope he comes out with the followup.
Beware the Dwobleys!

I can't imagine McBain ever wrote a cozy.

I know, the closest he came was the Matthew Hope mystery series.

I'm currently reading and enjoying these two:

Hi Lacey, I'm new to these boards...how do you hyperlink the author along with the book cover as you did in your post? Thanks!

Thanks, I'll see if I can do it!

I absolutely love J.D. Robb's In Death series! Are you enjoying it? We have a great J.D. Robb community on the Goodreads site: https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...
