10.1 Favorite Lists
Read a book from a favorite listopia - yours or that of another member. Using the list of listopias claimed during the Listopia Tag sub-challenge from the Summer 2018 season, select a list and read any book listed. Members may post their favorite list from the Summer season in the help thread if they wish. Please post a link to the appropriate LT claim when posting. A list of posts will be included in post 2 of the help thread. You may complete this task 3 times. This task cannot be used for combo.

10.2 Next?

Start a new series or read the next book in a series you are reading. (Book must be labeled as part of a series on GoodReads and must be have at least 3 books).

10.3 Real Place

Paris 1919: Six Months That Changed the World: Read any book that has a real place in the title.

10.4 Bookshelves

10.5 Pet Day

Sept 9 is National Pet Memorial Month. Read a book that has at least one edition published by a publishing house that has the name of an animal in its name...such as Penguin, Black Dog, Graywolf, etc. Please include a link to both the MPE and the applicable edition.

10.6 Noir

In honor of Halloween, read a book written by one of these 100 mostly noir authors.

10.7 Crazy Rich Asians...Or Not! (Tien's Task)

Read a book originally published in English written by an author born in one of these Asian countries.

10.8 Cli Fi (Karen Michele's Task)

As we drove from the Puget Sound to Montana in door to door smoke this year for the first time ever and dealt with a fire close by the cabin we rent, I couldn’t help thinking about climate change. Read a book about climate change. If it is not clear from the book synopsis on the GR page, please include a sentence or two about how the book qualifies in the appropriate help thread.

20.1 War's End

The Vanquished: Why the First World War Failed to End
Read a book set (at least 51%) in the years 1918-1938.

20.2 To Conquer Hell

Inspired by To Conquer Hell: The Meuse-Argonne, 1918, read a non-fiction work about a 20th Century event. This should not be a biography/autobiography/memoir.

20.3 Birds without Wings

Birds Without Wings, read a book shelved as Turkey at least 5 times.

20.4 Birdsong

Similar to Birdsong, read a book which takes place in at least two distinct time periods.

20.5 Singled Out

Singled Out: How Two Million Women Survived Without Men After the First World War, read a book with a single female as the main character. The woman may be never-married, widowed, abandoned, etc, but should be the main character and obviously head of her own household.

20.6 The Stone Carvers

The Stone Carvers was on the first publicly announced Man Booker Prize Longlist. Read any book which has been long-listed for the Man Booker Prize since 2001.

20.7 A Month in the Country

A Month in the Country is considered a novella. Read a short novel or novella 100-200 pages.

20.8 Autumn (Karin's Task)

In 1725 Italian Antonio Lucio Vivaldi published 12 new concerti (concertos in English) including the most famous of all classical seasonal music, The Four Seasons. Others, including Hadyn, Tchaikovski and Vaughan Williams have written seasonal music that include the fall.

Read any book published between 1678-1958 (Vivaldi's birth to Vaughan William's death), by an author born in and a resident of one of the countries of these composers: Italy, Germany, Austria, Russia or Great Britain.

20.9 Arkansas (Kate's Task)

This season, my nephew will be realizing a life-long goal of starting for the Arkansas Razorbacks (football). In honor of his accomplishment, read one of the top 300 books from the Best Southern Literature list.

20.10 Fall Equinox (Elizabeth (Alaska)'s Task)

Fall Equinox contains all 5 vowels. Read any book whose title contains all of the letters A-E-I-O-U. The book may have a subtitle, but all of the letters should be in the title.
