,
, and
.I hope to read and pass on:
,
, and possibly
. So here is crossing fingers for being ambitious this month with work and school starting. Happy reading everyone!
I saw this book on the nominations for Sept. It sounded like a book I would love.
And August's book:
I just finished a couple, and am continuing to read the KJV over the summer.Sadly, I was unable to get No Less Days from any of the libraries I have access to (most of the libraries in the state) and I don't currently have any book budget. Unlike so many of my reading friends here and elsewhere, I am not a fan of most romance books, so am passing on the other monthly read (I did like a couple of Cathy Hake's books on audio, though, including one not yet read here, but I have nominated a different book for October).
Books I'd like to read this month:
and a few others.
Finished Francine Rivers latest. Definitely a good read. We have our book discussion on the 18th. It will be a good one.
I'm working on the following books:
author of the month
vacation theme for the monthseries to advance on:
hopefully also,
book that I wonand on the list again to try and read
If I get garden stuff harvested; I will have better luck
Just finishing Book OneOf Cape Refuge by Terri Blackstock.
My friend loaned me the series so I am enjoying the luxury of being able to read the series in order and not having to wait for the next book!

I chose it because I generally really enjoy Denise Hunter's books and because it was on audiobook from my library. My Library has a new Libby app on my phone which is very user friendly, especially with audiobooks. Audiobooks help me get to the gym, exercise outside or
when I'm doing housework. I just strap my phone to my arm- I have an Iphone neoprene holder kind of thing. It keeps my brain engaged in something fun while I'm doing something not so fun :) haha!
Also reading Enigma by Catherine Coulter, not Christian fiction but clean and well-written suspense.

I haven't tried the Libby app yet. I hear it is super user friendly though! I've been using the Overdrive app on my phone to listen to audiobooks, but I think I might see what the Libby app is like...
I am with you on audiobooks making doing certain things easier - especially exercise and cleaning! :D
I'm pretty happy with what I've read so far this month, if I get one or two more in, I'll be thrilled :)
I'm enjoying Lisa Harris' Vendetta.
--I can see why she has won the Christy award, etc. I discovered her looking for award winning Christian fiction that isn't romance (but to be fair, these novels do get called romance and certainly have elements of that type of book in them, but it's not overpowering) a few years ago.
I am making my way through Becky Wade’s Bradford siblings series. True to You and Falling for You (which I finished yesterday). And I loved them so much. Wonderful Christian fiction romance but also two amazing plot lines. Now reading the third Then Came You.
So far this month I’ve read
(GM) which has been in my TBR pile for some time,
and I’ll finish
tonight. I checked
(GM) out from the library so I’ll work on that next.
