Caitlyn, I just discovered her in July and love her books. I’m really looking forward to Zander’s story. That boy deserves a happy ending! 😊

Finishing Duck the Halls by Donna Andrews.Lots of laughs .. animals galore .. and some prankster is leaving them in churches in Caerphilly (VA) just before Christmas!
Among others, I’m finally reading Ben-Hur. I actually started this on vacation last month but just read a little at a time. Now that I’ve finished all my monthly goals and not quite ready to start on next month’s book club and group reads, I decided to go ahead and finish this one.
I read a lot of really good novels in August!!! There were a couple of three star reads, but a whole lot of solid four stars and one five star.

I didn't do too bad this month - it has been hectic to say the least between work, school starting, a little family crisis, and projects around the house.But I finished:

Here's what I got to this month:
and I got about halfway through a GM sci-fi and another GM fantasy.
Here's what I finished this month, more than I expected:1 & 2 Peter for the Bible reading challenge;
The Sheep that Went Astray (my youngest), Encyclopedia Brown (my oldest), for the children's book challenge, and Jack Sparrow: The Coming Storm (myself for the YA category in the Bingo Genre challenge)
Monstrous Beauty for a review and the Cover-to-Cover challenge (girl with brown eyes)
Persuasion for a FB group read and the Classics challenge
Live Pure & Free and the 6 Hearts of Intimacy both for reviews and the nonfiction challenge
To conclude my August reading I was able to finish the following:
The Lacemaker, Before We Were Yours and Making Waves were my favorites.
Not on my original plan but I also finished and loved:

Due to other plans I am postponing this last one till possibly November.
