CoraI just looked at him and just pulled away from his hands, figures that he's going to be the guy that would be intimated by me. Just because i am the daughter of the captain in the department there. I just rolled my eyes and just went to my table and grabbed a notebook of my notes on this case.
"Alright in any case i don't think there's anything that needs to be discussed right now." I tell him and just waved my hands and opened a shadow portal to the same area.
SeanShe pulls away from me and goes to grab a notebook. She tells me there isn't anything we need to discuss about it right now. She waves her hands and opens up a shadow portal to somewhere.
"Ah... so where are we going?" I ask not sure where she was taking us. Still trying to process the quick change in conversation. I mean it seemed like she wanted to discuss about whatever this was between us but I guess I should be glad for the moment to think about. After all I barely knew her.
CoraI looked back at him and just huffed a little bit when he tries to just be casual to me. I really was not having it, i felt like a total idiot that i was the one that just stepped out while he was just comfortable in being in the background.
"I am going on ahead and doing some outside job. You can go ahead and go back to the office and do whatever you need to do." tell him waving my hands and let the shadow swallow him up and send him to the station. I just went to get changed into some more comfortable clothes.
SeanShe huffs a little as she looks back at me and tells me she is going to go on ahead and do some outside job. That I can go back to the station and do whatever. She waves her hand.
"Wait, Cor-." Her shadows swallow me up and send me back to the station. I curse a little running my hand through my hair. "Dammit." I say feeling like I totally screwed that up.
Cora,I bit the inside of my cheeks and just looked out the window. This is just a job as soon as we figure out who's behind the icyn traffic then it's back to me running solo. I went ahead and slipped on some high waist shorts and a black body suit underneath that exposed my bare back. Showing a couple of my moles here and there before i walked out of my apartment.
I needed to kill some time before my results of the background are down, but thinking back on the drugs and the clubs... he's trying to target as many elementals and humans as needed so there has to be a reason.
I go to the coffee shop that sits outside of the clubs in downtown and just observed.
(This the same coffee shop as Leo and Juni??)

(Okay just making sure! Kind of stumped on what to post since she kind of pushed Sean out before he could know were she was going :P Not sure if you wanted to switch back to Leo and Juni or skip with them)
im heading home so we can double again, and well sean and her element synced up so i can think that since he got a feel of her element hell detect her)
(Okay that makes sense! So I'll have him trying to track her down and are we keeping Juni and Leo in the café?)

I made sure there wasn't any new news from the station before I head out to track down Cora. It was kind of a pain that she just sent me away like that without telling me where she was going. We were suppose to be partners on this thing. I didn't want to have to tell her father that I lose her, especially if she ends up getting hurt.
I drive the cruiser around until I start to feel this pull. It was weird but I decided to follow it. I end up back in front of the coffee house from the other night.
Juni
I roll my eyes and chuckle softly at his comment. "Well in all fairness I would have let you pay but since it was kind of my spaz out that lead us here. I figured I could at least get my stuff." I tell him as he pays for his half. "You can pick it up next time." I tease.
We head over to a booth in the back and sit down, taking a breather while we wait for our drinks. He tells me that he wonders what Sean and Cora are up to. If it was just him or if it seemed like they wanted to naked in front of each other.
"Well they did seem to have this connection." I say and shrug. "My guess is they are following her theory and trying to track down the guy's family tree."
LeoI looked at her and i just shrugged my shoulders when she tells me about them two. That it was probably just this sudden connection. The lady comes over and brings out our orders. I take a sip from our black coffee and i just smiled a little bit.
"Well i don't know, but i guess she would make a good part of our team. I mean turns out we're all... special." I said smiling just a little bit.
Cora
I started writing down notes and just kept thinking in my head about all those books i read. This became more than just money... what if it isn't about money? What if it started off with something personal? But then it wouldn't make sense in why he would bring mundanes and elementals into this play.
I looked at my cappuccino and just took a sip out of it before i looked back at the remainder of the bar. It was closed out because of the pending investigation.
JuniHe shrugs and a lady brings over our order. He sips his coffee with a little smile and I dig into my cookie and tea. He says that he doesn't know but she would make a good part of our team since it turns out we are all special.
"Mmm maybe she's got this whole lone wolf thing. Don't know how helpful she will be to the group." I tell him as I eat my cookie happily.
Sean
I park my car and get out, heading toward the coffee shop. I shake my head as I spot Cora in a booth. I slip in across from her and look at her with a little look. "You know we keep ending up here." I say taking a seat.
LeoI looked at her and smiled when i leaned in and took a bite of her cookie when she took her bite and i pulled away. I chew and swallow before i shrugged my shoulders a little bit.
"I mean, you were kind of a lone wolf too before we sort of grew on you." I note to her and just took a sip of the coffee again when i thought about it a bit,
"I can't help but feel that the missing piece of this investigation. I can only think of this as a business, but she... maybe she's right it didn't start as a business. "
Cora
I looked up when i see him slide inside of the booth that was away from everyone and i just looked back at my notebook. "Here as in me doing some work and you trying to ignore the allure between us? Then yeah you're right we do end up here always, at a stale mate."
JuniHe leans over to steal a bite of my cookie when I take a bite. "Hey!" I say shaking my head as he chews and swallows before shrugging. He tells me I was kind of a lone wolf too before they kind of grew on me.
"Well in all fairness the captain said I had to work with you two or else he was pulling me off the case." I say sipping my tea. He sips his coffee thinking and says maybe Cora is right about this not starting as a business.
"Maybe but why would they take out elementals and humans. I mean the drug effect them both so it couldn't be them trying to get back at one or the other." I say thinking about it.
Sean
"I'm not trying to ignore it but we have to be reasonable about this. We have a serious case to solve and we barely know anything about each other." I tell her after she accused me off ignoring this thing between us.
"I want to figure it out too, Cora. I really do but right now we need to focus on this case before more people die."
CoraI let out a sigh and just stopped writing on my notepad when i looked at him straight in the eyes. My silver white locking with his amber gold ones.
"And i'm going to stop you right there, you're not not trying this because of the case. Or because you're having priority issues here, you're afraid of this because you don't want to deal with the package that is my dad." I tell him and just opened up my book.
"I'll just stop this right now, spare us both the pain of it ending badly." I tell him annoyed when it hit me.
"Spare the pain... oh god I'm an idiot." I say under my breath when i grabbed my notepad.
"We should've been seeing this as a singular motive not a god complex motive. What's the main reason why people use drugs? TO spare themselves from pain or the pressures of reality."
Leo
I just shrug my shoulder a bit and just tried to avoid the head ache. "Things are so much simpler in cop movies i mean... all they need to do is find a snitch so that it can take us tot he head of the snake. But now the snake is invisible, and no one has ever seen him before." I tell her and just try to ease a little bit.
Sean"Well in all fairness I have to take that into account too, Cora. You father is my boss. I don't want to risk anything going wrong with whatever is going on between us." I tell her. "I'm already pushing my luck being who I am and having a job in the force."
I look at her she seems to realize something. "So they are creating this to spare people's pain? But then why is it killing them? I mean that is kind of a pretty permanent end to the pain."
Juni
"Life isn't like tv, things are complex and more many shades of grey rather then black and white." I tell him and sigh, drinking my tea and eating the cookie. "Elementals didn't exactly make it any easier either. I mean no one knows the true extent of their abilities."
CoraI waved my hand at him when he tells me that this is a pretty nail ending for sparing someone from the end. "No that's how it started it was only for his own or her own personal gain. But then one night a friend tried it and things went well. Then there was demands for this specific supply. And it boomed from there. He became a regular drug dealer"
I write down my theory, "He used it as a way to gain profit and became detached to his clients. So we have to find that friend that helped with the demand of his product and we'll be a step closer to finding this drug king." I tell him and just rolled my eyes.
"I got it, I don't date cowards anyway so it's fine. Whatever this was it's not going anywhere." I tell him grabbing my things when i get a text about the gene research.
Leo
I just shrug a little when she says that no one knows the extent of their power. "Well from experience it just gets stronger as we grow up. I used to just be able to manipulate flames before i was able to actually create flames out of thin air." I tell her.
SeanShe writes down her theory on the reason behind why this elemental made icyn and is now dealing it out to both elementals and humans. She rolls her eyes at my comment and tells me she got it and she doesn't date cowards so this wasn't going to go anywhere.
"Whoa now, I'm not a coward. I mean you can't expect a guy to throw everything he has worked his whole life for on the line for a girl he just met. I mean we don't even know each other enough to know if we like each other. We just have this weird spark thing between us and that could mean anything."
Juni
"Yeah, that's pretty much how it goes but it is so unpredictable. Some elementals abilities can sky rocket over night and other can take forever to developed. Kind of a pain at time." I tell him finishing up my tea and cookie.
"So what do you think we should do now? More drug dealer? Track down Cora and Sean and see what progress they made?"
CoraI looked at him clearly annoyed that he was clearly saying he wasn't a coward but that he wasn't going to risk in throwing everything away for a girl he just met. "Well so aside from being a coward you're also in denial. Great characteristics and also part of a bonus in the avoid this guy column." I tell him annoyed and just grabbed my stuff.
"Look, you just proved my point about how much you're running away from whatever this is. Obviously this spark between us isn't something that is bad. But of course this is coming from a girl you don't even know." I tell him walking away towards the bathrooms to just slip out in the shadows.
Leo
I let out a sigh and just stretched out a little bit. "I say we go back to the department i mean sure enough maybe we can just huddle up and think of maybe some theories. Or maybe that Cora girl has a theory that she could share." I tell her.
SeanShe looks at me annoyed and says besides being a coward that I am also in denial. characteristics and also part of a bonus in the avoid this guy column. She grabs her bags all pissed and says that I just proofed her point about how much I'm running away from whatever this is.
"Wait a minute." I say as she heads to the bathrooms by the time I get there she is gone. "Son of a bitch. You never let me finish." I growl punching the wall. I mean seriously she expected me to risk everything when I barely near her. I had my mom and brother to think about, my own career.
I had taken years of hiding who I was to get to this point. I had done a lot of good for the city and I didn't want that to all be thrown down the drain because I screwed my bosses daughter. I didn't think the spark was bad but at the same time how was I suppose to just complete believe in this random connection when I just official met her today.
I head back out to my cruiser to head back to the station. Maybe Leo and Juni were back so we could talk about any other leads.
Juni
He sighs and stretched saying that we can go back to the department and see if the others have any other theories or see if we can think of some from the new information we found out today.
"Sounds reasonable to me. I mean the drug dealers thing is going to end up being a dead end since we know he cleared everyone out. Plus I doubt that they saw anything different then that one guy. Just a creepy ice dude in a mask." I say with a little sigh. I rather be out there doing something but we were kind of stuck at the moment.
LeoI just nodded my head a little bit when sh tells me that it's probably the only thing we could do at this point. I just closed my eyes a little bit and just took the rest of my coffee down the hatch before i get up and helped her up.
"Well in that case let's go." I tell her smiling when i just tried to do something that was completely out of my nature. But i hold her hand in mine and walk outside with her.
Cora
I'm back at the station taking one of the conference rooms when i give everyone notes of where i am. I was just so mad placing sticky notes of my research all over the board. Placing pictures and evidence and placing the strings.
Damn, i wasn't asking much for fucks sake. I... maybe a coffee sharing moment. Or just some light touching or talking. I mean he was all hands on deck back at the club when he didn't know who i was. Now... it's like i'm a freaking warning label and... talking about not risking his life for me... made me feel like worthlessness.
I come across my investigation with a boy that kind of locked me in a moment. Silver like white hair and icey blue eyes. My gut was telling me something about him... my gut never lies to me. This boy had a family history of ice element. I take out the history of John Snow... parents died in the middle of a police raid and the boy was taken into foster home. A mission to be exact, but records of him disappeared when he turned 13.
I quickly take my keys and take off towards my car. Having the address of the church in my hands. I left everyone a note that i got a hit.
JuniHe closes his eyes and finishes his coffee before he gets up. He helps me up from my seat and says in that case let's go then.
"Yeah." I say with a nod and blush a little in surprise as he holds my hand in his. Not like a dad keeping a child from running off but more like a lover wanting to touch their lover, let them know they are there. I hold his hand back as we walk back out to the car to head back to the station.
Sean
I pull into the station and head inside. It was busy as usual but I don't see Juni or Leo at the moment and their desks were still empty. I see the light on in Cora's office through. She isn't there though but there is a note on her desk saying she got a lead.
"Dammit, can't you just stay put for a minute." I mumble. I felt like I was playing catch up to this girl. She was always taking off on me. I glance up and see her board that she had made up for her theories. She was an impressive detective even if she didn't seem to be big on working with others.
LeoI smiled at her and see her blushing a little which made me blush. I mean i haven't really been too keen on being with someone because i liked them. I mean i wasn't a stranger about one night stands but still. I just liked being with her little by little.
We walk in the station and just see Sean over at the conference room area looking at the board. I looked at the stickie that was in my desk and just go to the conference board.
"So brought you coffee, probably going to need to caffeine for this case." I tell him when i look at the board and i was impressed in how neat this was set up. I see the evidence and i see the theories just carefully molding.
JuniHe smiles a little and I can't help but think this is kind of nice. I liked him better when he was being nice then when he was being a grumpy butt.
We get back to the station and spot Sean looking over a board of evidence and theories for our case. Leo hands him some coffee and he nods in thanks taking it.
"Where is Cora?" I ask him.
"Took off on a lead. No clue where since she didn't leave that info." He says sounding a little bitter about it.
LeoI looked at my friend when he kind of answered a little bit ticked when we asked him where Cora went. Woah didn't we just say that those two had a special connection between the two. Why is he so up tight right now.
I go to close the door to give us all some privacy. The conference room is sound proof for obvious reasons.
"Alright bro talk to me, what's going on. I mean there's a real difference from last night this morning and right now when it's about Cora." I tell him talking to him as a friend.
SeanLeo closes the conference room door and asks me what is going on and there was a big difference from last night to this morning and right now it seems to be about Cora. I sigh a little and glance at Juni who plops down by the board.
"Don't mine me. You guys have your guy talk while I look this over." She says with her back to us looking at Cora's work.
I look back at Leo and rub my face. "We both feel this connection but I don't want to rush into anything right now. I mean we are knee deep in a really important case and she's the captain's daughter. We don't have time to be throwing possible relationship problems into all this." I tell him. "She pissed because she thinks I'm a coward but how is that fair. I mean we barely know each other. She can't seriously asks me to just throw myself out there like that."
LeoI looked at him and just shrugged my shoulders a little bit when he tells me that he called him a coward. And i do listen to my buddy's side of the story and i just scratch the back of my head a little.
"Well i don't know man, i don't think she wants you to get down on your knees or anything. But maybe like a bit of an effort like sharing a coffee together or something. You are just cold turking it with her so i get where she's coming from. But i do know how hard you've worked for what you have. Being an elemental in hiding is hard as is... but you know she is your partner for a reason?" I tell him trying to be therapeutic
SeanHe scratches the back of his head a little and says he doesn't know but he doesn't think she wants me to get down on my knees or anything. That he knows I worked hard for what I have and being an elemental in hiding is hard.
"Oh so you figured that out." I say rubbing the back of my knee.
"My bad I kind of told him since I sense you were one. Leo is too so your secret is safe with us. Also being nice can go a long way. Poor girl probably think you dislike since you put up the cold front like that." Juni chimes in. "But that is just my girlie two cent."
I look at her and back to Leo processing he was an elemental too. I guess we both had secrets we hid from each other.
"I guess I didn't come off a little strong on the whole thing and not being sure of this connection between us." I say with a sigh.
LeoI kind of let him sink in the fact that I know he’s an elemental just like he’s letting it sink in that I’m one. We just stand there until June puts in her two cents and I nod my head.
“Yeah no offense partner but knowing you, you probably treated her and that connection you both have as an influenza or something. Just take a chill pill. Just because we’re on this hard case doesn’t mean that I’m not going to try and court June.” I tell him and just pat his shoulder.
“So just live a little. Speaking of living did your partner get any hints of what’s going on?” I asked him
SeanHe nods and says that knowing me I probably her and that connection we both have as an influenza or something. So to just take a chill pill and just because it is a hard case doesn't mean he is not going to try and court Juni.
I look at him with wide eyes and then over to Juni who looks shocked too. "Really? I mean I'm glad for you but I thought you didn't like her." I say after he pats my shoulder.
I sigh as he asks if Cora figured anything out. "Well we are pretty sure at this point he is an ice elemental and we think this might have started out as some kind of connection to his past. But she left before telling me where she was going. My only guess is it is something to do with the board over there."
LeoI fold my arms over my chest looking at the board. I mean it was clear as day and yet it was complicated. Is this how her mind works. Always changing and just connecting dots in her head faster than breathing. It’s very cryptic almost and it was just interesting to be able to get to know this girl.
“Well she has a very interesting mentality but it’s getting us no where in where she went.” I said looking back at my partner and I smiled at her.
“I like her it was just hard to show it considering that we’ll i was trying to keep my identity in secret.” I tell him and just snap at my fingers.
“How about we use your crazy connection with her, look at the board and just tune into her. What caught her attention?” I tell him. He’s our best shot in finding her
SeanHe folds his arms over his chest and looks at the board. He tells me that she has a very interesting mentality but it’s getting us no where in where she went. "Welcome to my world." I say with a sigh.
He looks back at Juni and says he likes her it's just hard fro him to show it considering he was trying to keep his identity a secret. I nod a little knowing how hard that was.
He asks me if I can use my connection to see if we can figure out where she went. "I can try." I say focusing on the board.
"Ah guys, as neat as that would be. I figured it out." Juni says sitting in front of a laptop and spins it around to show us an address to a church. "Was the last thing she looked at." She says with a shrug. "My bet is she went here."
LeoI was about to see if maybe they just had this connection that’s just wasn’t at all... explored. The spark I have with June is different but I’m not going to compare. I turned around to her when she shows us the last website she went to and I smiled.
“That’s my girl.” I braked going over to her side and gave her a peck on the lips.
“Leave it to you to be more reasonable than us. Now everyone to my car.” I tell them and grabbed my blazer before I started rounding everyone to go to the elevator
JuniI blush as Leo praises me, saying that's his girl and comes over to kiss me for second. "Well I figured she probably head to look up where she was going." I say with a shrug.
I close the laptop and head out with them over to the elevator. "You guys take the cruiser and I'll take my bike." I tell them as we ride. "That way in case we need to chase after anyone or anything, we have a quick jump and go vehicle."
Leo“Mmm well we’re going to a church I really doubt we’re going to have to chase down anyone. And I mean she took her car so we have like three vehicles already out there. Maybe we should just keep it in just few cars?” I asked.
Besides I have to be a good wing man. Hopefully if we get there in time then they both can ride in her car and just figure each other out already.
We get to the garage and I just look back at June. “You sure you don’t want to come along. You can be shotgun?”
Juni"You never know. It could be the drug dealer's lair or base of operations." I say as he tells me we are going to a church so he really doubts we're going to have to chase down anyone.
We get to the garage and looks back at me adding I could be shotgun. "Okay but if I miss on what could have been an awesome motorcycle chase then I am going to be disappointed." I tell him as I get into the cruiser. Sean jumps in the backseat and buckles up.
Leo“Yeah yeah I know.” I winked at her playfully and just started driving towards the address. I mean it’s not like it bothers me that there’s this huge wall between us and the new girl. She’s been on her own for a long while. Living in the shadows l, no pun intended doing what’s the right thing for her family and others.
I just kept driving when I turned to look at Sean and just stayed quiet I wonder what’s going through his mind.
“Have you kissed her yet?”
SeanHe winks playfully at Juni and heads towards the address. It was kind of weird to see them act nice around each other but I guess it was better then them fighting all the time.
Leo asks me if I kissed Cora yet. "No, we had just started talking about the connection between us before she asked me what to do about it. I told her I wasn't sure but we should focus on the case for the moment and talk more about it later. She started getting upset with me after that." I tell him with a sigh. "Been chasing after her all day since then."
Leo“Well you did do a classic evasion there buddy. I mean would it kill you to just test that chemistry out for both of you? I mean why don’t you just sneak one in. Might like it and I’m sure you’re not going to police hell for making out with the bosses daughter.” I note to him and just kept on driving.
I looked over at june and just smiled a little. “A kiss is good you know. Helps with levels of stress in the mind.” I tell him

LeoI looked at him and smiled a little. “Damn dude arent you a ray of sunshine right now.” I teased him a little. Finally we arrived on the northern part of the city and there was this slight suburban area before we finally see the church
I parked on the other side of the street and at the corner of my eye I see a bike parked about half a block away. I stepped out of the car before I helped June out.
JuniI chuckle quietly as Leo tells Sean he is just a ray of sunshine right now. Poor guy was having a rough day. We arrive at the church and Leo parks the car on the other side of street.
Sean gets out and Leo and I do the same. Leo comes out to help me out of the car. "Thanks." I say with a little smile and head up with the boys to the church. Hopefully Cora would still be around.
LeoWe walk in and right away there’s a nun there ready to help us out. “Hello, welcome to our church Miss Dragneel said that we were to be expecting you. Shall i take you to see mother superior?” She asks us so nicely and I just shrug my shoulders.
“Yes please.” I say not knowing how to deal with nuns. Always been unfaithful in that department
JuniA nun comes over to us and tells us welcome to the church and that Cora told them to be expecting us. She asks if she should take us to see mother superior. Leo shrugs and says yes, please.
"Yes, that would be great." I say with a soft smile. "Do you happen to know were Miss Dragneel is? We were hoping to meet up with her." I ask her.
LeoI looked at the nun when she looks back at us when we ask about Cora. She just smiles a little sad and just nods her head. "After speaking with mother superior, Miss Dragneel went to look at our indoor pool. None of the kids are there for today and she said she wanted to just have a moment over there." She tells us.
I clear my throat a bit and looked over at June and winked at her. "Alright in that case can you lead Detective Patricks to the pool, Miss Dragneel needs some information." I tell her and the nun agrees before she opens the door to mother superior's office and lets us in and takes Sean away.
JuniLeo tells her if she could take Sean to Cora and we head into mother superior's office. I head in with Leo as the nun let's us in and leads Sean away to where Cora is.
Sean
"Thank you, sister." I say as the nun leads me over to the pool where Cora was standing around. I thank the sister once more before I go over to Cora. "You know you really have to stop disappearing on me."
Leo"Hello mother superior I'm Detective Fernandez and this is my partner Detective Lennox, my colleague came a little earlier than us." I tell her and the nice old lady look at us and smiles a little her eyes still misty.
"Oh yes, you came to talk about John Snow... really haven't gone down that memory lane in a long time." She mumbles and just looks at us.
"How may i help you?"
Cora
I looked at the pool trying to hint at the lingering shadow impressions of the site. The mother superior told me that after the incident no one was allowed to come in until just this year. Decades of it being closed down there's maybe some lingering shadows of the elementals that come by.
Until i hear Mr Stranger. "I have a lead and i go for it. That you take too long to stay at my pace is not my problem." I tell him gently touching the pool edges and breathing it in
