I really hope one of my local libraries gets Dead Drift although I've enjoyed Pettrey's books so I might buy it.

A friend gave me some of them, and yes, I do like the series. Nice relaxing cozy mystery when I've been reading some heavier books. I have also found the missing ones I didn't have at abebooks.com. It is my go to website for books that are more difficult to find. The best thing about it is their prices are fantastic and most are free shipping. I have been paying on average $3.84 for the books I buy there. The are used but if you choose in good or like new condition I have not had a problem with any of the books I have purchased.
Lorraine, I have not tried abebooks; thanks for the heads up. Ebay sometimes gets expensive even for a used book. I miss our old church library; great source for many Hannah

I learned about them from this group ( it was probably Loraine :) and it is almost always the most inexpensive way to purchase the books that I want to read. I tell everyone who is an avid reader about it. With free shipping on most things I can purchase like 4 books for the price of one new release. It certainly helps the budget :)

      I'm currently reading
for the monthly read,

aloud with my 12-year-old son for the library challenge, and

for a review and non-fiction challenge, integrating Philippians
for the Bible reading challenge.
My plans for June are to finish the What's in a Name Challenge with Once upon a Summer (and I'll continue reading the rest of the series for the Series challenge) and either Lilac Girls if my library ever gets me the ebook or I will switch to The Purple Morrow. I'm going to finish the Kindle challenge with the last one I need, favorite genre or favorite author. My good friend is an author in my favorit genre, so I will read her new book

My favorite go-to site for books also Cheryl. I always feel like I am getting the best deal I can find.

I just have to echo the love of Robin McKinley. Beauty was one of my most favorite books growing up and I quickly read all of her books that I could. :)

My favorite for this month is Among the Poppies Wow! Powerful story. Like the beautiful poppies that grew from the devastated battlefields of WWI, Gwyn and William's love blossoms from the sacrifices of war.
