30.5 - Mazza1's Task: Spectacular/Vernacular

I chose option 2, Vernacular.
For book 1, I used (a) and read A Higher Loyalty by James Comey with nothing but text on the cover. I read the kindle edition - here's the top pb (no MMPB) for page count - A Higher Loyalty Truth, Lies, and Leadership by James Comey - 304 pages.

For book 2, I used (b) and read The Prodigal Tongue The Love-Hate Relationship Between American and British English by Lynne Murphy 368 pages. Both Language and Linguistics are main page genres, and this was also noted in the help thread in post 4.

Both books are nonfiction.
