I don't know what I would do and how I would react. As I see it, Hernán felt liberated and freed from the shackles of his past. I don't say he feels giddy but I wouldn't be surprised if he did. And that's why I can understand why he's doing what he's doing. He's still clothed, he gives directions, he is in control, and he trusts Colin to not do anything to hurt him. If they have penetrative sex right now, I might change my mind but so far, I'm fine with the way things are going. (hide spoiler)]

Also, I can't comprehend it either. I'm trying not to be too judgemental because I can't even imagine having to flee my country and not knowing if I will survive another day but it's really hard not to be angry at their parents. Leaving them alone and expecting them to make this journey on their own, not knowing what's going to happen to them... Yeah, it's hard to not be angry...
