Whatever, we have a saying here in Canada...'shit happens' and besides you keep us so on track with our buddy reads and fine maybe initially you made the mistake but I was more than happy to role with it. I know I'll tell hubby it's all his fault for giving me his cold...he's really awesome that way because now I'm losing my voice (he doesn't seem to bothered by this by the way) and I'm going to have a case of fuzzy brain for at least the next 2 or 3 days...right when I need it most :(
Hey, have I mentioned just 5 more sleeps until the beginning of Karen and Roy's Most Excellent Adventure!!!!!!!!!!! I actually have to start packing today or I'm going to be running around in dirty clothes with grungy hair and bad breath...that is seriously not anything that I want to see, ok?

@Simone, if hubby's any indication coughing is a big part of this cold, but for some reason whenever he shares his colds with me I seem to get over them quicker and the coughs don't stay with me the way they do with him. Which is really ironic because I'm the smoker or more correctly I was. I haven't had a cigarette since Feb. 12 when I got sick...not saying I haven't wanted any because that would be a lie, but I've managed to refrain from it even though there is a nearly full pack of cigarettes here in the condo. They're my illusion that I don't smoke because I choose not to rather than I need to quite, but I think it's time to just chuck them and say that I don't smoke and the fact that I've thrown them out is my proof that I made the choice to stop smoking...ok, back to the book. I'm at the beginning of Ch. 25 (69%).@Christelle, I totally agree with you and this is all hubby's fault...so, I think he owes me a trip to a couple of quilt stores at the very least, right? ;)

Yes, you heard right. I wanted to drag at the cigarette of my dad and didn't accept no for an answer, so he let me. I drank a whole pitcher of tea afterward and I was cured for life. LOL.
The coughing staying with me a bit longer is a thing that only happened over the last few years. In times past I got rid off it pretty soon or sometimes I only got a head cold. This virus here is known to be persistent, so I might have my fun with it for a bit longer still. *eye-roll*

Sometimes I think I should just give it up. I'm not allowed to smoke at work so when I'm not running to the grocery store next door and slip in an extra minute for a cigarette, I can go 8 hours without smoking. But yeah, I like smoking and right now I still like it too much to quit.

It's hard and if you're not ready to it's not going to happen. I was honestly happy that I was only smoking 3 or 4 cigarettes a day but after what happened, I decided I needed to give myself the best odds possible if it happened again and not smoking is one of the factors that's totally in my control so I'm doing it. Some days are easier than others that's for sure.
