Seán | 602 comments I'm going with out and out 'destroying everything mf'ers' for this one:

Achamian - Prince of Nothing Trilogy. 'Going Akka' is our phrase at home for when someone is going completely off the rails.

Karsa Orlong - Malazan. 'Witness.'

Kalam and Quick Ben - Malazan. When they get together, you know shit is going to go down.

Lundos | 392 comments This is by no means easy. How do you compare from world to world? Is it just raw power or more attitude? Anyway, here is my list:

1. Rand al'Thor - The Wheel of Time. Rand might just start out as backwater bumpkin, but his destiny is up there with the biggest of them and [SERIES SPOILER] (view spoiler)

2. Icarium - Malazan Book of the Fallen. Introduced in Deadhouse Gates and so down to earth, nice and friendly to begin with that it's hard to see him as a bad-ass. [SERIES SPOILER] (view spoiler)

3. Raistlin - Dragonlance. Oh yes, and old favorite of mine. He might be evil but the power in that frail body of his is godlike.[SERIES SPOILER] (view spoiler)

I could easily have made a list just with Malazan people. Erikson really knows how to create memorable characters that kick ass.

EDIT: Ah, I could just have read the first post and not just the heading.

Well, swagger and coolness. That's a new list

1. Anomander Rake - Malazan Book of the Fallen. Everything about him just oozes class, danger and potency.

2. Caine - Heroes Die (Acts of Caine). Well f;uck. If you don't know read it.

3. Bloody Nine - First Law. The great equaliser.
