Should we limit this to one character per series? Because you know I'm going all Malazan otherwise and I'm sure others will as well or go all Stormlight Archives, etc.

Lol, I thought the same. Like, um, isn't the wrong word being bleeped here?

I think as long as you limit it to 3, if they're of the same series it's still fair game.
1) Kate Daniels -- (Magic Strikes / Magic Rises / Magic Binds) -- daughter of proto-god
2) Kelsier -- (The Final Empire / Secret History) -- Mistborn Mastermind / [spoilers]
3) Uncle Bob (Brohimir) Heartstriker -- (Last Dragon Standing) -- Dragon Seer
My badass list veers towards Urban Fantasy...

1. Serr Bronn of the Blackwater, and Tyrion Lannister - ASoIaF
2. Aragorn - LOTR
3. Anomander Rake - Malazan
2. Aragorn - LOTR
3. Anomander Rake - Malazan
I didn't want to go all Sanderson... picking from Stormlight Archive I'd pick:
Kaladin Stormblessed -- (Words of Radiance, Chapter 56) -- Honor's dead. But I'll see what I can do.

1. Karsa Orlong - I cannot wait until the buddy read gets that far in Malazan so people can start the debates.
2. Icarium - F*cking people up for millenia.
3. Cotillion - I could have gone Hood, Rake, Dassem, Quick Ben, Kalam.............but Cotillion has style.

Sevro from Red Rising
Drizzt from Homeland + 23? more books
Logen Ninefingers from The Blade Itself
But biggest badass, as in evil motherf*cker, Darken Rahl, Wizard's First Rule hands down, so far.

2. Eowyn of Rohan - She killed the Witch-King and bagged a prince; come on.
3. Harry Dresden - He's *always* naked/half-naked/injured/broken/beaten/or disadvantaged in some other way and wins.
This list made me re-listen to Chapter 56-57 for a 3rd time... I love that chapter... at least until (view spoiler)

2. Durzo Blint, Night Angel
3. Gavin Guile, Lightbirnger"
I can completely go with this, but I do need some Quick Ben and Karsa Orlong somewhere there too:)
Going to go for some folks that aren't listed so far. There seem to be quite a few go-to guys from the same series that are getting all the glory.
1. Acheron Parthenopeus (Dark/Were/Dream Hunters) Because urban fantasy/paranormal romance has it's fair share of bad asses!
2. Susannah Dean (Dark Tower) She's a badass woman gunslinger who does it all with no legs!
3. Scorpio the Pig (Revelation Space) He is literally a pig and a super badassed space warrior.
I was tempted to pick some Manga characters.... but if those folks were involved there was no way I could narrow this down to 3.... Plus I don't feel like there are many Manga fans in this group.

Dark-Hunters was great right up and including Acheron... I started falling out of love with the series after that as it became a pantheon smorgasbord...

See, now you will make me read those eventually:):):)

I think I knew it was going down hill with No Mercy. When Native American stuff got added to the sauce it was one pantheon too many.

I am third-ing this notion because damn those are some of my favourite characters ever!

Avasarala - Expanse
Achmed the Snake - Symphony of Ages
Dred - Dred Chronicles"
Avasarala ... yeah!!!
Malazan - Anomander Rake (my book husband...not sure what that says about me)
GB - Locke Lamora (he's kind of pathetic at the same time, but I like all his schemes)
Riyria - Royce (it's like he was made for this list)

The problem is who does what and who is dead or alive is different from the books and TV. I can't keep it straight at times.

It says you'll have competition. Haha I swear every girl I've met on here who has read Malazan says the same thing XD
There's so many bad asses though, I won't say how long i debated before posting that haha

It's because Anomander Rake is hot. He's definitely my Malazan husband too.
