I actually enjoyed both books. They made me stabby--yes, especially the 2nd one. But they also made me think one thing at one moment and something else the next. And they made me feel one thing at one moment and something else the next, which is what I want when I read. I still don't know for sure if I'm happy with the ending--in some ways I am and in some ways I'm not, but the actual reason I knocked off any stars was because of areas of confusion/conflict here and there that obviously shouldn't have been there.
35% and I am leaving Charlie and Cam here with their angry sex for tonight. Hopefully they will make better decisions tomorrow!!!
oh Lisa...there is no good decision making here...I'm not sure how I feel about Charlie...I think Cameron is a bastard and I think Reese, although he thinks he loves her, is taking advantage...it's not that I don't like him, I do, but there is something that is off...as for Charlie, I want to think I understand how she is feeling and sympathize for her BUT I don't think we've heard the whole story yet...
I should finish tonight :)

Done with Book 1. I am all sorts of pissed off right now, and I'm not sure who I'm mad at and why. I spent the entire book absolutely despising Cam...and then I realized it's because I never saw his side of the story. And now that I have, I actually feel sorry for him, and I hate that I do. I don't even know what to think right now.

I just went back to page one of this thread and read our comments about book 1 and they're pretty similar to what I'm reading here. lolBut if you go back, be careful not to read anything that will spoil book 2. I think each spoiler is labeled as to which book it's about, but I'm not positive.

I get where you're coming from Lisa...even though I though Cam was a douche, by the end I really wasn't a fan of Reese either...and now I'm 30% into book 2 and I'm getting a Kiera vibe from Charlie more than ever...ok Ela, you've tempted me...I'm clicking that spoiler :0

60% in book 2...ok, now seeing a lot more of Cam's side and now that he confessed to Charlie what really happened with the office slut...i'm kinda cheering for him now...although, that also makes me feel sad for Reese...

All done with book 2. This series sure made me feel so many things. It ended as it should have. I enjoyed the story for sure...but not so much Charlie. And for me to go from Team Reese so completely to Team Cam, that says a lot for the author.

How hilarious is this?? Apparently I read all your spoilers but I did not remember them or that I didnt want to read the books. I just finished and liked them! 😀It def did not go the way I expected.
