But like I've seen Paula recommend over and over (because she's absolutely right), you really NEED to plan to read the 2nd 'C' book too. I've never read Marly (actually, I forgot about it), and I was happy stopping there after the 2nd one.
I never read C - Book 2. Just the first one, and I was happy (and I say that very tongue in cheek) stopping there. It totally wrecked me...but apparently I'm okay with that. You MUST read it. Don't listen to Ela. She doesn't get Tony from the Consequences series either. And now I shall stand back and watch Ela go all shouty about Fucktard Tony!!!

And make sure you don't read the blurb of the 2nd book until after you read the first book, Don't want to spoil anything!
I think there is great humour in the C books amongst the angst. Probably because they are based in the 🇬🇧 and I get the humour being British!
