l a i n e y for you I recommend either The Butterfly Garden or The Silent Waters

Hi Blagica, I recommend The Night Circus for you :)

Wayne, I can see you want to read Good Omens - I would say this is one book to put to the top of your tbr pile. I will also recommend the Riftwar Saga by Raymond E Feist (first book = Magician) because you like fantasy

Debra, your post appeared while I was writing mine so I will also recommend a book to you. I can see you like Stephen King so how about something by his son Joe Hill: The Fireman

I see that you liked Me Before You, so I'm going to recommend Something Borrowed.

I noticed that you gave the Quran one star, and I understand that. The first time I read it, I was not a fan.
I'm going to encourage you to read What Everyone Needs to Know about Islam. It is written from a non-Muslim's point of view.

You have no idea how long that has been on my list thats fantastic

for you I recommend Bonfire
it was an awesome read and not what you expect

Oooh, I have been meaning to read this and now I have a reason. thanks!

I accept the challenge

Amanda for you I recommend The Ice Twins or if you are a drew barrymore fan Wildflower

[...] Two other books from your TBR list that I recommend are The Snow Child, which is a reinterpretation of a Russian folktalke, I believe. It is so lovely and despite the cold setting, will warm your heart...."
I just finished the German (unfortunatelly abridged) audiobook edition of the book and I loved it so much I got the ebook (English original) and hope to re-read the full story soon. Thank you for the recommendation - now I'm looking even more forward to your other recommendations :-)

That is such a great book! It started my love for historical fiction.

l a i n e y - for you I recommend: A Change of Fortune loved it so much and it's pretty fun :-)

That is such a great book! It started my love for historical fiction."
Irfken I see you have The Martian on your TBR list. I think you should give it a go.

I've read The Martian but didn't finish it. It just wasn't for me but thanks for the recommendation.

Since you love the works of Diana Wynne Jones and J.R.R. Tolkien, I recommend The Neverending Story by Michael Ende and The Princess Bride by William Goldman.

Agnieszka, I think you would like A Man Called Ove.

Irfken, for you I would recommend The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, since you liked The Heart's Invisible Furies.

And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie in my oppinion her best book - I've seen you have several of her books on your shelves
Persuasion by Jane Austen my favorite of her books - I've noticed you enjoyed Pride and Prejudice and thought it could be something for you - especially if you're looking for something shorter :-)
Feel free to disregard my recommendations, since Ilona was a little faster than me :-)

I found several gems on your TBR shelf and hope you like at least one of them:
The Husband's Secret, The Old Man and the Sea & The Secret Garden
Ilona wrote: "Agnieszka, I think you would like A Man Called Ove."
Thank you for the recommendation! I'm still not sure I want to read it - I didn't like the author's My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry at all and so I'm a little cautious to try another one though it's the second time in this thread I got it recommended, so I'll see if my library has an audiobook I can listen to while I'm updating my many challenges :-)

Since you liked Angels and Demons by Dan Brown, I recommend you read the rest of the series. Although it’s not spectacular writing, they’re very entertaining. Especially The Da Vinci Code and Inferno.

Dania, my favourite series (next to Harry Potter of course) is the Lunar Chronicles. I see you have it on your TBR but haven't started it yet. So for you I recommend Cinder by Marissa Meyer. Hope you'll love it as much as I did.

Brittany, I saw that you liked The Boleyn King, so I would like to recommend The Lady of the Rivers. It is a wonderful historical drama with just a touch of the supernatural.

Kadijah Michelle, since you loved Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Matilda and The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, I'd recommend The Book of Three by Lloyd Alexander. It's one of those works of classic children's fantasy fiction that is universal and can be loved by anyone regardless of age.

Thank you Brittany, just added it to my iBooks :)

Thanks l a i n e y for the recommendation. Now I've got 3 to chose from.

Kadijah Michelle, since you loved Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Matilda and The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, I'd recommend [..."
Irfken,
Since you like "historical epics" and our tastes seem very similar (Agatha Christie! Gone With The Wind! Harry Potter! Yes!), I'll recommend The Winds of War and War and Remembrance by Herman Wouk. I loved these...some of my favorite historical fiction works.

Kadijah Michelle, since you loved Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Matilda and The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, ..."
Thanks so much Kimberly. Those two have been on my to-read list for the longest time, I will definitely check them out.
I also saw the similarities in our tastes and would recommend Goodnight Mister Tom by Michelle Magorian. Since you enjoy both children's literature that anyone of any age can enjoy and WWII novels, Goodnight Mister Tom is a great book. If you ever chance upon it and read it, remember to bring to tissues as it's a real tearjerker.

Since you like historical fiction and literary magic, I'm going to recommend Beloved by Toni Morrison. I had it on my list for a long time and finally got to it last year. For me, it was a masterpiece.
Mindy

I noticed you seem to enjoy historical fiction and this one is on your tbr,
