"BALL UP!" - Val's 2018 Aussie Rules Footy Tipping *Open to Everyone*

Western Bulldogs (Blastro) v Geelong Cats (awaiting MC)
4.2.26 (Q1) 4.3.27
9.4.58 (Q2) 8.4.52

Ah hadn't noticed SW had done that, as fer Suzy, she did mention having internet difficulties, so mibbe she can't get online, perhaps.

Western Bulldogs (Blastro) v Geelong Cats (awaiting MC)
4.2.26 (Q1) 4.3.27
9.4.58 (Q2) 8.4.52

Got to love the excitement of a kick after the siren! Gazza had just scored for the Cats. With less than 30 secs to go, they won the ball from the bounce, got a free kick for a high tackle but cleverly played on (advantage rule) and got the ball down to Harry Taylor on the forward line. Siren goes. Taylor is normally a dead-eye dick but he sprays the ball and the Dogs breathe a collective sigh of relief after losing so narrowly under similar circumstances last week. Once again, that Grizzly bloke was the only one to pick it!

Sussex better get the rest of his tips in too, next match kicks off in half an hour!"
I updated my original post, Duke :-)

Well done to Grizzly who is certainly running into a bit of form! As are my Bombers - thanks fellas for netting me some money for Beyond The Orphanage. Tech snuck in another two points on Sussex to make him look pretty smug at the top of the ladder. Congrats to all winners and don't forget to check your scores.

Thursday July 5
Sydney Swans v Geelong Cats (in Sydney)
Friday, July 6
Richmond Tigers v Adelaide Crows (in Melbourne)
Saturday, July 7

West Coast Eagles v GWS Giants (in Perth)
If punters could lodge their tips by midnight WEDNESDAY July 4 (your time) it would be a great help, although I can accept them up until 10.15am THURSDAY July 5 (your time) if absolutely necessary.

Anyhoo….looks like I've plugged the leaks for the time being!
Congrats to Grizzly...isn't he doing well?! :)
And to Val, David & Steve too!
Many thanks for the congratulations, but, without everybody getting their punts in, we'll never know if somebody else could have ended up top of the pile.
That said, I'm not turning down the victory or the spoils for my charity :)
Congratulations also to Val, Steve and David :)

Anyone heard from Suze yet?

Suzy last posted on this thread on June 21. I think we're all hoping that no news is good news. Fingers crossed that all is well with her, her Mum and Dad and her two hairy woofers. Might just be technology letting her down.

It's just too damn hot to get to sleep here tonight, but still, I must go and give it another try ... x NN x ST x SD x

And I sincerely hope that no-one else on here is also struggling to cope with the increase in heat as poorly and as pathetically as I seem to be doing right now? I don't half feel like such a wuss every time I dramatically collapse and then have to go back into Hospital to get myself stabilised and back under better control again ;o<
I'd so like to think that I look far more like a rather beautiful and graciously fading Swan as I rather fragilely yet still elegantly recline whilst propped up upon all of these Pillows (nine in total!) that my Mum has miraculously managed to find for me during the course of the night? ... however, my Neighbour's little boy has just been over to collect some of our first crop of Tomatoes for his Breakfast and he very soon put me straight by telling me that I currently look just like an already brain-dead dying Fly all feeble whilst in it's final death throes!!! ... HA HA HA HA HA!!! ;o> ... ;o> ... ;o>
I am now lying here mutinously planning on getting myself fit and strong enough to be able hurl his favourite Tomatoes at him the next time that he comes around with his cheeky little grin and begging bowl!!! ;o>

YAYYY!!! - Congratulations to our lovely Red John on his first win! ... x
And very well punted to our Grrr...Grizzly and to Duke as well ... x x
And ... Congratulations to Grizzly again! ... x ... and to our Val, and Sj, and David for the their fantastic Charity wins in the last round ... x x x

Unfortunately the doughnuts are a bit stale and the ice-cream has melted clean away. Try the "tree pie" at your own discretion.

Us Brits eh? Can't cope when it's hot, can't cope with the snow, and moan when it's raining! : )

Oooh, even if I could run about and take part? - you simply just couldn't ever offer me a big enough incentive to do it in the blistering sweltering heat of today, Blastro! ... poor Kids! ... I think that a very large Ice Cream is definitely going to be a must-have treat for you all afterwards ;o>

Best get this week's punt in before I end up going offline thinking I've put it in when I haven't....
