So glad y'all are enjoying it!
Don't forget to move your plans and rejects list over to a thread on Goodreads! I'll be hiding those tabs on Sunday.

Thank you!!

It's still View Only, so we can't see the formulas, just the end results. Try making it open to edit (just for right now so we can take a peek!)

Your pie chart isn't showing up because your stats sheet isn't registering any books -- so I'll look at why your stat sheet isn't picking up the Austrian author and get back to you.
EDIT: You had the stats sheet picking up on row 4 instead of row 3, so it wasn't seeing your first book!

Ha... I was just doing the same and saw you edit it. The issue, Jody, was that the Austrian cell started counting data at row 4, but your first book was in row 3. All your other cells look good now.

Thank you both for saving what little is left of my sanity!

Two things you can do: you can just put it as H:H. It’ll look at the whole column.
The other is to put H$3:H. That’ll lock it in so it doesn’t go H4, H5, etc as you copy down the column.
You’ll want to look at your percentage columns, though. It looks like some of them say B3 so they’ll count your rereads spot instead of d your total reads spot.

I'm going to go and fix that to H:H - can I change the B formulas to B:B too? Thank you for this!!
You can use the B:B for formulas that are looking for a specific word (like your country ones). Count formulas, though, have to have a starting row so that it doesn't count your heading as well.
For your percentages, I would go with $B$2, so when you copy the formula over, that sticks.

I want to put my name into the spreadsheet, but there aren't any available colums in the tab M-Z.
Could someone please make a bit more room, because I do like to keep track on my challenge this way :)

There's a link to it in the Mod Corner 'New Member? Start Here!' post.

There's a link to it in the first post of the thread: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...
Also, just for reference, if you want to add more columns to the end of the spreadsheet, you can go to Insert, Column Right. That will add a column to the right of whatever column you are currently on.

I fixed it for you. Highlight the square, click on "clear formatting," reset the font.

Thank You so much.

Are you listed as 'SUE D'? Because when I tried typing in that column it worked just fine.
It could be a situation where your internet is a little on the slow side and you need to wait for google to 'catch up' to you. It could be that your browser somehow thinks that you don't have the right to edit the spreadsheet.
Couple of things I'd like you to try: can you type in other blank spaces (and then delete it)? Or are you unable to type anything anywhere? This will tell us if something is up with your column specifically or if it's the whole spreadsheet for you. Also, try opening up a new blank google sheet (click on the big green icon in the upper right, then start a new blank spreadsheet) and just see if your browser is letting you do stuff in google sheets.

I'm hesitant to just delete the extra columns because I don't know if other things had previously been there and got wiped out. Or if these are just extra blank columns that got inserted somehow.
Emily... do you remember if your second column was previously the 3rd column of the sheet? Did it go you, Ashley, you?
If so, I think just delete the extra columns and we're good to go. Otherwise, we'll have to recreate things from the revision history :-|

Emily, posted in the Announcements thread on February 15 that someone deleted several members books from the A-F tab and she was unable to to restore the members completed books. I'm not sure when you last add to the spreadsheet. If your books were part of the ones deleted earlier this month or if it happened again. Hopefully, it does not happen again.
Chrissy, I think yours were among those affected (mine were as well). I caught it a few days after it happened, apparently, and restoring back to that date would have undone all of the books entered over a 4 day span. Hopefully it doesn't happen again (I imagine someone accidentally deleted them and was unsure how to undo their mistake.) And I've been checking the spreadsheet daily to try to catch it if it does happen again.

All fixed. For some reason your text wrap for that box was on "Overflow" instead of "wrap." It was also aligned "bottom" instead of "Middle" so I adjusted that, too.
Thanks Steve!
That can happen if someone cuts and pastes out of the cell... it sometimes takes the formatting with it.

You count total was set to start at O5 instead of O4. I modified the formula so it should be fine now.

Thank you!

I know that last year or the year before I saw a community sheet from another challenge (maybe PopSugar?) that had everyone in bold/different colors and fonts and it was kind of garish in my mind. I just don't want to see it go that route!

Also when copying and pasting books, people might not notice their font is different? I don't really mind as long as it's not unusual fonts all over the place.
Agreed, Steve. I've let it be when it's just the names, but when people color their whole column, I change it back to white. It's too distracting! I don't mind the different fonts as long as they aren't *too* different.
I've been keeping an eye on it though lol. I don't want it to get too sloppy looking.
