@Sarah
I love Dragon's Claw. I hope you enjoy it, too.
The supernatural Hong Kong concept is wonderful.

I'm currently reading The Virgin of Norway - Tore Skeie https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
Great book about the intrigue of the scandinavian royal families in the 1300's.

I'm so non-English illiterate! Sorry! but tell me, please. Does Mensch mean Man and Hund mean Hound?
I have smattering of Spanish now, though I was once capable of reading and writing it.
Well, now I rely on the ESL capabilities on Goodreads friends such as Sarah and Cameo. It's very fortunate for me that so many lovely people on Goodreads communicate in English.

Mensch means man or human/people and hund means hound/dog :) At least I remember some of all the years of German in school (Denmark is just atop of Germany, so a lot of us have it in school, just like many Americans have Spanish)
The title means "Relaxed human, relaxed dog" and is about techniques for calming yourself and/or your dog in everyday life, certain situations etc.
I liked it. I just have to see if I'll use some of the tips for being calmer, more present and having a positive outlook.

@Llaph are the witcher books any good? I've only watched the show, a bit confusing with the timelines being skewed, but come on, Henry Cavill makes everything better ^^

Okay you've totally sold the series to me now!
They're going on my TBR list right away.
I kind of disliked Yennefer at first too, 'cause she seems like a bitch, but as you get to know her better, she's still a bitch, but you get why LOL.
You're blind? Well you're missing out on Henry Cavill, but to be fair, his voice is just as hot as he is - so maybe you're not missing out after all. Well, maybe a bit, since Cavill doesn't say all that much besides "Hmm" and "Fuck" in the series LOL.
I don't mind books being graphic, I'm not squeemish, and I'm a total history documentary buff, so graphic descriptions of torturedevices, the holocaust, the Mao regime.. it's all very fascinating, albeit gory at times.

LOL sorry for asking a stereotypical question. That video was actually very enlightening, thank you.

don't worry, it didn't come off as bitchy :) LOL I can imagine you get some weird and perhaps very personal questions sometimes.

Good point, I experience it at little bit myself, because I've chosen to live alone and don't want kids. A lot of people don't get why, and can ask some really personal questions too.
Okay I can't even remember who Rinfrey is - I really gotta watch the show again.
But LOL that it get's you to fall asleep... is it all the grunting from Geralt?

Hello, Dale.
I think you will find that the books in the series just get better and better. Enjoy!!!

Well then @Llaph, I hope you find someone special and have lots of babies :D
I'm perfectly happy on my own, and frequently wish to go home as soon as I leave my apartment. I'm gonna be a crazy old cat lady for sure! :D
Not a fan of either Kim Harrison or Jeaniene Frost, but I hope you guys enjoy ^^

Well, welcome to the no babies club then ^^
I tried the first Hollows book by Harrison years ago, and within the first 30 pages, it was a hard no from me. I didn't like the writing style at all, and all the characters felt stiff.
I enjoyed the first couple of Night huntress books from Frost, but the Anita Blake syndrom happened, at it ended up only being about sex and how experimental the sex was getting. I gave up after that.. As I did with Anita blake.

Llaph, Cameo, Dale, or anyone interested?
Are there modern authors who write only one (masterpiece) book, and then stop writing? Margaret Mitchell and Harper Lee come to mind for me.
Anyway, it seems that many authors feel they must write a series of books about the same character(s) rather than a single defining moment that ends the character's tale in one book.
On the other hand, it could just be that I have gravitated toward series-style authors. It is interesting, though.

Good question Nancy! Off the top of my head, no contemporary author comes to mind.
I think I gave up on Anita Blake at book 16 or 17... I've heard the newer ones a getting good again though.
Hmm maybe I'll give Frost a go again some day. Singh is on my TBR list.
