Around the time Ignite the Fire failed to come out (for really understandable reasons), I decided to do a reread of the series (both Cassie and Dory) again in chronological order. I'm on Shadow's Bane now. One thing I've noticed is that Cassie's series benefits a lot from being read back-to-back rather than waiting a year between instalments, while Dory's stories always felt complete.

I just finished the 4th book in the Nola O’Grady series by Katharine Kerr and that series is amazing!! While it’s not exactly like Cassie’s time hopping, there is alternate universe world hopping. Very cool idea and so well done! I know the author is still planning to put out a 5th book, here’s hoping it’s soon!
