I finished listening to Vanish by Tess Gerritsen, Rizzoli & Isles #5, and they found a narrator who can pronounce Rizzoli correctly!! Oh, and the story was really good, too:) Here’s my review.

I’m reading The President's Henchman by Joseph Flynn and listening to Polished by Alyssa Turner, Polished #1.

Laura I've read through book 5 of the Real series.
Rogue (Real, #4) by Katy Evans Ripped (Real, #5) by Katy Evans .
These feature secondary characters and surprise they are both 5 star reads for me. The first 3 books with Brooke and Remy were not as good as these, (in my opinion) . These last two I could not put down.

Christina T (crysteena73) | 558 comments I have been doing terrible at completing these list of series books I made 4 years ago. I just keep starting new ones! I haven't added any of the series books our group is reading and I'm thinking I should so it looks like I'm making progress lol. I'll do that when our internet goes back on and I can use my laptop with the desktop view instead of the less than brilliant app.

I did make a small bit of progress with the Eve Duncan series by picking up Quicksand by Iris Johansen. I'm half way through and I've forgotten what a bitch Eve can be. Joe is not any better and stupid Montalvo is in this book too. I liked the introduction to Megan Blair though. She's in the book Pandora's Daughter and I think she makes an appearance in the next Eve Duncan book as well. I'd pay book links and covers but that isn't an available function of the android app.

Christina T (crysteena73) | 558 comments I might add editing isn't a function on the app either. Forgive my typos.

I made a shelf for new series started 2018 and I look at that more often than my series list. It helps me move forward in my new series I start each month. Quicker to refer to also. I haven't added many of my new series to my ongoing list either because they are tracked on my new series shelf. It has helped me stay somewhat organized. Better than last year anyway.

message 313: by Christina T (new)

Christina T (crysteena73) | 558 comments Jonetta I should probably just stop using the app and save the desktop version in a folder on my phone instead but the app is convenient to update my progress in books...just not anything else I use GR for.

is there an option to switch if I'm already on the app itself? I couldn't find one but then I might not have been looking in the right place. My phone has the newest app update (the one that is supposed to be sooooo much better). I noticed the series lists on the app doesn't include book numbers either. The new updates have done nothing to improve my experience with the GR app.

It should be a menu option. I access GR through my browser, which may default to a mobile view. Then I switch to the desktop view.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 4010 comments Christina, I know what you mean about not making much progress on your years old series list. I have a lot of series that I've read the first one or two books and never went any farther. Sometimes you just have to give it up and move on to books that entertain you more.

message 316: by Laura (new)

Laura I think for me it is that the first few books are free or cheap, at library, or on overdrive so I keep up. When the library stops adding on the newer releases and they are 7.99, apiece (I’m cheap) I quit and wait for a sale that sometimes never comes.

I'm cheap too. Have you tried requesting your library purchase a title? I do it all the time with the two libraries I use that have Overdrive.

I am truly blessed to have three different library systems with absolutely fabulous collections. I don't think that is much that I can't get in either hardback, paperback or e-book. Physical library branches for all three are within walking distance of my house.
