message 758: by Tricia (new)

Tricia (triciareadsitall) | 900 comments Howdy Folks,
I'm in Montana in the old west, late 1800's I think. I'm working as a cowhand on the Bar VR ranch, and me and Old Red got us a mystery to solve. He might not be able to read or write, but that don't mean he ain't plenty smart, and he reckons he can do the same kind of deducin' as that Sherlock feller. Old Red takes this detective stuff pretty seriously, but I have to admit to being thoroughly amused.

In a little bit, I'll be somewhere outside London in another flat with Other Mother, Other Father, and all kinds of other Other people. I'm slightly creeped out, but this is an all ages experience so I'm pretty sure I can handle it.

message 759: by Cherie (new)

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments My ears were in the North Atlantic on an ocean liner with Agent Pendergast and his ward, Constance. There was a serial killer aboard.

My eyes were in a mausoleum with President Lincoln. He was saying goodbye to his son, Willie. There were lots of spirits/shades there too.

Janice (jamasc) | 59896 comments On Sunday, I was still in London. But I have since moved. I'm splitting my time between Texas, watching a nude woman kill a snapping turtle and Honduras, trying to avoid deadly snakes.

message 780: by Tricia (new)

Tricia (triciareadsitall) | 900 comments So, I've been traveling a lot lately with several different casts of characters.

Yesterday, I was in Indiana for a while, hanging out with some circus folk in a place that is really familiar.

Then, I was in Florida with a group of "peculiar" friends who are trying to learn everything they can about present-day America.

Finally, I was in an unknown country, at least I can't remember knowing it, in a mostly abandoned village populated by some really bad men.

Jackie | 296 comments I have just gone back to Washington, D.C. during the Christmas break because I can't stand to be at my mother's place listening to the Nutcracker over and over again. Also, my brother has an ankle monitor on his leg and he is not fun to be around. This law school I am attending seems bogus, so I think I will quit a few weeks before I graduate.

Hi Shannon. This thread is a fun thread to tell each other on a weekly basis the setting of the books we're reading as if we are there. Welcome to our group. We have another thread for making recommendations. Please be mindful of posting in the correct threads.

LOL! No worries. You're welcome to move it over to this thread. I know it can be difficult to get orientated to a new group.
