1: A book with the letters A, T & Y in the title
My OCD type tendencies wanted a book that had the letters, in order, in the title, lol..So I went looking on my shelf and lo and behold the very first book on the top shelf was The AnaTomY of Hope. So there it is...
This will also be a good choice for me for work, because it will be interesting to discuss when my students learn about Loss, Death and Grief.
The Anatomy of Hope: How People Prevail in the Face of Illness
I'm planning to read in order in 2018, attempting to read a decent chunk of our challenge as non-fiction next year, and also want to read more books in translation, so although I have about a hundred (slight exaggeration) options on my plan, I've almost definitively settled on The Diving Bell and the Butterfly for this prompt.Side-note - like the "no 'e' in the title" prompt this year, I became mildly obsessed with finding titles that had these letters in them. It's worn off now, thank goodness.
I am going to start the my 2018 reading pilgrimage with The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry by Rachel Joyce.
Tracy, I have 42 options for this one, so looking for the letters in order might be the way to limit my choice! Here are those I found on my TBR:The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet
Where Sea Meets Sky
And Every Morning the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer
Jar City
Children of Earth and Sky
The Last Days of Night
His Majesty's Dragon
The Little Book of the Icelanders in the Old Days
That Bear Ate My Pants!
Love and Gravity
I’m reading The Ladies of Ivy Cottage by Julie Klassen. I read the first book in the series and I got this one a month or so ago. I’ve put off reading it so I can use it for this challenge!
I was originally thinking of rereading Eat, Pray, Love because I have it here but saw The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society the other day and bought it so that’s probably the one I’m going with now.
I read The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society almost 10 years ago but would love to read it again when I have the chance!
So far my top pick is Exit, Pursued by a Bear, but Isla and the Happily Ever After is a definite potential as well. This was a hard topic for me, in the sense I had so many options!
Haven't posted my plan to the group yet, but I plan on reading The Boy in the Striped Pajamas for this first week. Just recently bought the 10th anniversary edition and saw that it fits this prompt. Can't wait to get started, this is my first year doing the challenge.
I settled on The Eyre Affair, since I've been meaning to read it for a while, but I was pleased when I realized almost any book with "Fairy" in the title would do. I'm a sucker for fairies.
I am going to read Her Body and Other Parties. There is a long wait at the library, so it's doubtful that I will actually be able to ready this during week one.
My options are:
Adulthood Is a Myth
This Dark Road to Mercy
Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine
Eat Only When You're Hungry
Scrappy Little Nobody
The Rules Do Not Apply
The Myths of Happiness
Say What You Will
Dick Cheney Shot Me in the Face
The Silver Linings Playbook
This Song Will Save Your Life
History Is All You Left Me
The Way I Used to Be
The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry

Agreed! This might be one that I wait until the end of the year to fill in because so many books fit in this topic!
I read Guernsey this year and it was wonderful! Highly recommend a re-read!

I’m a big fan of the Outlander series, so I’ll be reading the eighth book Written in My Own Heart's Blood. It’s a nice health 825 pages, and I can’t wait!
This wasn't the most difficult prompt to find a book for. I'm sort of hoping I'll be able to read in order next year, so I'm starting of with a short book I know I'll be able to to get a hold of: The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I'm also trying to use books from my TBR and books I can tick off on certain lists and this one meets all those criterias :-)
I’m going to (finally) read Catcher in the Rye for this one! I also considered reading Vanity Fair but might slot it elsewhere.
Going to do Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone, by JK Rowling. I’ve listened to the audio book and seen the movie, but never read the book.
Like others have mentioned, I have a lot of options, so I decided to narrow my list by only using books from my TBR list that I already own. Which trimmed my list neatly down to just two options: Tales of the City & The Boy in the Black Suit. I'll probably wind up reading whichever looks more appealing at the time once 2018 starts.Brianna wrote: "So far my top pick is Exit, Pursued by a Bear, but Isla and the Happily Ever After is a definite potential as well.

Exit, Pursued by a Bear is a really great book; I hope you enjoy it whenever you get to it. :)

I'm planning on Autoboyography. As soon as I saw this prompt, this title came to mind and has stuck ever since then, even though there are tons of other options. I think I just found it appealing that all three letters were in the same word, and the same order.
The Saturday Night Supper Club A Conspiracy of Stars
Either of these!
Actually decided on Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine because it’s actually due at the library this week! Happy reading :)

I chose [book:History Is All You Left Me for this category
I had set up a few options: o Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day - Winifred Watson
o The Way We Live Now - Anthony Trollope
o The Grand Sophy - Georgette Heyer
o As You Like It - William Shakespeare
o The Way the Crow Flies - Ann-Marie MacDonald
I ended up choosing As You Like It to read. I am getting through the Shakespeare plays I didn't study in school slowly, and I find it a much more enjoyable experience. Plus, I kinda liked that it was the shortest title with these 3 letters on my TBR.
I read this wrong and thought you needed all three letters so I'm reading The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August a book which has been on my tbr shelves for too long.
I will be starting with The Day of the Triffids, by John Wyndham. It is a book I read many years ago in my school days and one I have always wanted to pick up again.
Hi Everyone. My first book challenge but it sounds like I've got great company! Some fantastic choices above and to add to the list I'm going to read 'Ayiti' by Roxane Gay.

Honestly - twelve times in the three years at that particular high school.

Haha The Year of Living Danishly. There's a 1978 novel called the Year of Living Dangerously. The early 80s movie starred Mel Gibson. Also....loved The Day of the Triffids. Read it for High School. Still refuse to look at meteor showers. Vaguely remember seeing the movie once. The book was better.
I'm going with The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry because I've been meaning to read it ever since it came out!
I didn't mean to choose a book with the letters A T Y in order necessarily, but I was scanning my TBR list for candidates and there it was:The Agony and the Ecstasy: A Biographical Novel of Michelangelo by Irving Stone
