While I was in Barnes & Nobles I was keeping a eye out for a book that fit the challenge and I decided on The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian. I have never had a chance to read it and I always hear great things about it.

Read the last Fredrik Backman I hadn't read, And Every Morning the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer by Fredrik Backman.
I'm reading "Can You Keep A Secret?" by Sophie Kinsella for Week 1. I was in the mood for something light and funny. I'm about 1/3 of the way through and I am really enjoying it.
I chose The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie and it was brilliant. I devoured it in one sitting! (Work may get in the way of reading from today though!)

It broke my heart and made me laugh and was one of the best books I've read in a while.
I ended up going with The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, as planned. I didn't really focus on one letter, just found something that had all three and was non-fiction, as I'm trying to read a decent chunk of the challenge as non-fiction this year.
I’m going to read The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I love classics and have never read this before.
I'm reading Vanity Fair this week, embracing the full three letters in order. I've always had mixed feelings about Dickens, so reading his rival's work for the first time is oddly satisfying to me.

Thanks for flagging this book up Shawn, I was trying to decide what to go for and when I read your choice it made my mind up, letters in the right order, by an author I like and set on the day of the stop-the-war march in London (I was there!). I enjoyed it.
What are you reading for this category? In Beauty May She Walk: Hiking the Appalachian Trail at 60 by Leslie Mass
Which letter are you focusing on?
I started the search looking for y but was surprised how many titles had that letter but no a or t. I didn't even notice I had the letters in order until now, but it makes me happy they are!
I decided to go in order this year!I, like many others, wanted to find a book that had the letters in order as listed. So I went with BeAuTY Queens by Libba Bray.
At first I was thinking to read The Casual Vacancy since I have it on my shelf but then I changed my mind to Lady Midnight because I want to read the whole series within this AtY challenge :)
The AcolyteI read The Acolyte by Thea Astley. This book won the Miles Franklin award (Australia's top prize for fiction) way back in 1972, and this author has won more Miles Franklins than any other so I had high hopes. Unfortunately I didn't like it at all - all the characters were awful people and the writing was clever but hard to read - it seemed to be trying too hard to impress with complex vocabulary and clever witticisms. It is told in the first person by “the acolyte,” Paul Vesper. The novel traces the career of a fictional Australian musician and composer named Jack Holberg. Beginning in obscurity as a piano player in Grogbusters, a dreary little Queensland town, the blind Holberg eventually gains international recognition as a composer. Vesper, who had met Holberg during his less renowned period, gives up an engineering career to serve the great man—in a sense, to become his eyes, and two German sisters also devote themselves to this egotist of a musician - all the followers know they are being destroyed but are willing to continue. Awful. Luckily the book was quite short, but it felt long!

Great book review- glad you got this one out the way nice and early. Hopefully books can only get better for the rest of the year! :-)
This is my first year to participate. Please forgive me as I figure out the rules. For this book, I chose I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter because one of my favorite NPR book reviewers had it on her list of best books of the year. I can't put it down.
Because I'm strictly reading off my TBR list here in Goodreads, I'm reading Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys! Excited to whittle down this list this year!
I'm going to be reading The Amber Spyglass as part of my plan to re-read all the His Dark Materials trilogy prior to reading La Belle Sauvage. The Subtle Knife is my Cluedo weapon book so I will have to cheat a bit and read them in the wrong weeks.
As many of my books remain in storage, I am having to make do with what I have around me. Happily, thanks to a Groupees bundle, I have a digital copy of FUBAR: By the Sword #1:
It is hardly the most intellectual greeting to a book group I have mustered, but it is something simple to get me started (in particular while I am still in the midst of The Mill on the Floss, the second of three Great Novels of George Eliot, which, being three books combined in one volume, only counts as one around here!).
I picked And Every Morning the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer for this prompt. I'd several other possibilities I was interested in, but I'm trying to finish my 2017 books, so starting by a novella is an easy way to check this prompt.
I am currently reading All the Ugly and Wonderful Things for this prompt. It was the first book on my shelf that came to mind.
I had a handful of options on my plan, which I have totally ignored and am reading The Library at Mount Char because it was an in-person Book club read that I didn’t get to.
Kitty Peck and the Music Hall MurdersA book I danced reading which had all three letters kn the title! Turned out to be a good read.
I happened to start City of Stairs -which I meant to read last year - on New Year's day! What a fortuitous beginning.
I’m almost done with His Majesty's Dragon and loving it! It is touching, clever, and exciting in turns. Very excited for Naomi Novik’s new book coming out this year.

What are you reading for this category? The Library at the Edge of the World by Felicity Hayes-McCoy
Which letter are you focusing on?
Oh I didn't focus on one letter I just looked through my books till I found one with all three letters that I wanted to read. Plus this one had such a pretty cover and it's set in Ireland so it seemed to say read me! lol
- What are you reading for this category?Paddling with Spirits: A Solo Kayak Journey by Irene Skyriver
This is a book published by a woman from my hometown, and it is so so good!

No way am I finishing this fine-print 700+ page book this week. Oh well, way to start the year behind!
Brianna wrote: "So far my top pick is Exit, Pursued by a Bear, but Isla and the Happily Ever After is a definite potential as well. This was a hard topic for me, in the sense I had..."
And of course, I've already changed my plan! lol I randomly picked up The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing by Marie Kondō and realized it would work for this prompt! I'll probably bump Exit, Pursued by a Bear to another prompt since I still really want to read it.
I read Amity and while it wasn't my favorite book, it was still good. It is a YA horror novel about a creepy house and two families that lived in it. I started on Jan 1 and finished the next day.
I'm planning on reading in order for this challenge where I can. Unfortunately, for the first book I've chosen The Avalon Ladies Scrapbooking Society by Darien Gee from my TBR, which follows on from Friendship Bread, which I haven't read yet either. However, Friendship Bread is in the top 10 for the longest time on my TBR list, so I'm swapping weeks 1 and 2 around!
I read a lot of good reviews about Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine and decided to read it. It was only afterwards that I realised that it had the letters ATY in it. I am not planning to read in strict order, but if it fits week 1, why not put it there?
I'm reading Truly Madly Guilty by Lianne Moriarty for this prompt. I was surprised at the sheer number of books I have (either physical books, Kindle books, or Audible books) that have all three letters in the title. I've had this book on my Kindle for ages, and it is one of the first 10 books on my TBR list on Goodreads, but I thought I would use it for this prompt & pick another one for week #2. I started reading it on Monday and am about 3/4 of the way through it at this point. It's not quite what I was expecting, but it's okay.I'm also currently reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling, which would also work for this prompt, but my son & I are reading it together and taking our time, so I am not going to finish it this week, and I didn't want to start off the year getting behind on my first book! :)

I think this one covered all 3 letters :)

Don't loose heart. I've got some huge books lined up in the 52, but have popped in some very quick skinny books to balance it out. The main thing is to really enjoy the books you're reading. Good luck :-)
Finished the first book of the year: Grace & Style: The Art of Pretending You Have It. It was quick fluffy read, some good chuckles. I have to admit that I got completely sucked in to the saga of Sweatpants.
Brand new to this group, but I've been looking for a good challenge. Just finished A Study in Charlotte for this prompt. Fun YA take on the Holmes and Watson story.
I read Complementary and Acute, which has more A's than the other two letters, so I guess I focused on A?? It was cute, but short so there wasn't a whole lot of substance
For this one, I searched my bookshelf for quite awhile and was about to give up and head to the library when BOOM, a book that I had read when I was younger and was given to me recently by my family turned up. I read Brighty of the Grand Canyon again. What fun that is to read a book that you read as a child.
Everybody's DaughterI found this book by just literally scanning through the free Nook ebooks. The title caught my eye and had all the right letters 😀. About 1/2 through I realized this was book 2 in a series, but I was still able to enjoy it even without having read #1. It is a time traveler, Christian book that reminds me a bit of The Shack. I really enjoyed it and may go back to read the first book.
Code Name VerityThis book was getting great reviews, and I kept seeing it come up on friends' lists, so I decided to read it for this prompt.
It was a great book. I was surprised to find it in the YA section of my local library. I hadn't seen anything indicating it is a YA book.
I love the author's writing style, and the format she uses to present the story is perfect. I can tell she she thoroughly researched the history before creating the story. She does a fantastic job of communicating historical detail in a fictional story. I will read her next book in the series as well as the prequel she has just published.
