Yea we just got our first snow on Friday a nice 7 inches then another 2-3 last night but it’s been freezing here too last night with the wind chill it got down to 1 degrees! But I love the snow so 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve actually read most of this years back on my phone. I never finished it but I think it was my mood at the time. I just wasn’t feeling it. This time I plan to finish it and it’s def better the second time around!

The supernatural element in this is great and I'm trying to figure out if (view spoiler)[Manx and Brat have the ability to go into different lands or if it's time travel. Brat obviously has the ability to find "lost things" so that will relate with lost kids. (hide spoiler)]

Snow melted (we hadn't had snow for years, so maybe it was a sign to finally start 'Christmasland', which I did :D) and now it's just really stormy outside, but perfect for a night reading :)

So I'm now on page 190/800, this is the beginning of the Sleigh House chapter. I'm not sure which chapter you mean by 'Disappearances', but I guess it's the one just before which is called 'Different Places' (or sth like that) in my edition o.O

This book is so great! It's been a while that I was so completely hooked by a story.

You're right, Sleigh House is the next bigger section in my book after the one I'm in now, about 25 pgs further ahead or so. I agree about being hooked on the story. These characters are fun!

I made it up to the Interlude: The Spirit of Ecstacy, which is about pg195 in my book. I really thought the part with Vic (view spoiler)[ being trapped in Manx's house was well done! I didn't know how she was going to get out, and you could just feel the heat and smell the smoke as I read that whole part. The feeling of hopelessness was strong. Then, the part at the gas station was brutal! That reminds me of something Mr. Hill's father does sometimes, by giving you a supporting character you like, and then taking him out! Tom's reaction to help is exactly what I would expect of a soldier. (hide spoiler)]
