Pg230 is right where I'm at also (which is about 3/4 of the way through the Interlude: The Spirit of Ecstasy chapter). (view spoiler)

That could be it. And this would fit with the license plate from the original cover. But then again, the form seems a bit strange."

I just happened to google the Wraith the other day, and that picture is a picture of the hood ornament. It's actually the image of a lady bending at the waist with her arms outstretched behind her with billowing sleeves. It's called 'The Spirit of Ecstacy', which is the name of the chapter we're currently reading, or at least where I'm still reading :).

message 122: by Addy (new)

Addy | 5121 comments Yes, you are right! I was gonna mention it but I forgot...lol.

Kinda cool that the hood ornament actually has it's own name like that.

I agree Latasha. Kate Mulgrew did an amazing job. I can still hear Charlie Manx whispering in my head as I write (shudders). Id love to join in with you guys, but wont have time over Christmas. Will fo!low the discussion tho.

So true! I've felt the same type of emotions while reading King. The whole family is super talented!

I have not read that. I'll add it to the list! Thanks for the rec Steven.
I haven't read Owen King's work yet as well and hope to get to it next year!

I think you're right Terry! That's my take on it while I was reading that chapter.

Adamus (Like Adonis, but with a M) | 806 comments I dunno for some reason I feel like sometimes King’s books are kinda slow where even tho this is only my second book from Joe Hill both have been very “on the edge” and have keep me interested from the beginning
