I have a question what happens if you already have read some books from the book pool? you don't count them right ?
I'd like to tentatively join this challenge...not sure how many I'll be able to read/get my hands on.question: if i've read a book before the start date can i count it? for instance i just finished
for my local library's book club
another question: if i listen to the audio does that count or does it need to be physical?

No. It won't count. Books need to be started and finished during the month of the challenge.

I'm helping Jacquelyn this month with the Book Pool Challenge.
If you've never played, here are the rules:
Directions:
1. When you sign up pick 3 books you want to be included in the "book pool."
2. You can pick any book as long as they are YA. Please no duplicates.
3. Once the challenge starts you will read books from the "pool."
4. At the end of the month whoever read the most books from the pool is the champion of that month!

Challenge Begins August 1st.
To claim points, please don't start your books from the pool until then!
You can sign up and add books until July 31st. After that, you can join in anytime (just without adding books)
