Megan (lahairoi) | 7470 comments Just completed another physical book - Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. What a great ride! This book embodies the best kind of sci-fi - good geeks against bad guys, totally immersive world, and lots of cultural references to make even a girl born in 1981 feel like she was out of touch. Writing is good, but the characters and the world are the selling point! Definitely worth reading! 4.5 stars

Megan (lahairoi) | 7470 comments Just completed another ebook - Night Road by Kristin Hannah. Overall, a good read. In signature Hannah fashion, the characters were complex and sympathetic and tugged at the heart strings. My biggest issue was the beginning was a bit slow and the ending was rushed. It was too perfect. Worth reading. 4 stars

Megan (lahairoi) | 7470 comments Just finished another ebook - The Marriage Lie by Kimberly Belle. Good, quick read! The author's writing was good, quickly conveyed her message, and without unnecessary repetition. I liked her characters. However, the main character was a bit too perfect, and the ending was rushed. I received this book as a free giveaway in exchange for my honest review. Worth reading! 3.5 stars

Megan (lahairoi) | 7470 comments Just completed another ebook - The Boy in the Suitcase by Lene Kaaberbol. I really enjoyed this nordic noir! Maybe having two female authors gave this a slightly different voice from the other nordic noir writers, and I really liked it. I appreciated the references to immigration problems, graft, and exploitation of women and children. Having those issues highlighted can make a difference in the international conversation. Definitely worth reading! 4 stars
