Ok so Jess wanted some inspiration recs and I figured I would post some past favorites of mine here so you all can read them/have something to go on. You don't HAVE to read them though, they are just suggestions since I know I probably read the most inspirational and some of them can be really over saturated with religion speak (yuck) so I wanted to give you some recs that weren't so bad.

(And sorry there is so many, I just wanted to give you all choices)

Inspirational Romance -> Regular Christian

•To Win Her Heart by Karen Witemayer. Hands down favorite. It takes place in the past (I'm not sure if it's "regular christian" then but whatevs) but it's about two very different people and how they judge each other initially but then slowly start to get to know each other and it involves books. Like seriously, the main heroine runs a library out of a sitting room and it's the best. Especially when they slip notes to each other through books.

• Love on the Line by Deanne Gist. Deanne Gist is a pretty good Christian author, I just want to say. I also liked A Bride Most Begrudging by her. But I've read four or five of her books now (and I have two others on my Kindle to be read shelf) and I have to say, Love on the Line is my favorite of hers. It's a undercover Texas Ranger meets a female switchboard operator in the turn of the century Texas (a bit different, yes?) Also there is something with fake (real?) birds and hats which I remember cracking up to.

• A Very Special Delivery. Christmastime, a baby and a snowstorm trapping everyone together. I really shouldn't have to say more but not preachy which is nice considering I was expecting the religious angle to be heavier here. (Also this one is short-ish at like 200 pages I think).

• Belonging. Read this a few years ago, so I just looked now and re-read the synopsis and I actually remembered it and remembered liking it. So it's something (It had a cute kid. I'm a sucker for a cute kid in a story).

• The Doctor's Lady. In order for them to go on a mission trip, the hero and heroine must be married. So they have a marriage of convenience . And then they immediately go on the Oregon Trail where they suffer from the elements, sickness, Native Americans and oh course, those pesky feelings for their (unwanted) spouse.

Inspirational Romance -> Amish

• The Harvest of Grace.
book three of a trilogy but you don't have to read the others to get this, I didn't. The hero arrives home to his parents debt ridden dairy farm determined to sell it only to realize his parents newest farm hand, the heroine, is determined to get it profiting again. Predictable, but cute. Although I HATED the heroine's brother in law.

• The Choice. Amish fiction with an element of suspense. This book had more twists and turns then most Amish stories so not half bad.

• A Promise of Hope. Don't remember it but I gave it a good review so eh.

• Fire in the Night. Not the best Amish fiction, but it's the only one I know of written by an actual Amish individual. So I recommend reading it for that alone. The romance is a little lighter in this one though then other "Amish bonnet novels". The focus is more on the Amish community and family.

Also, I still need to read the written by an actual Amish person books. (Oops, almost wrote that as "written by an actual person." Just who HAS been writing all these books I've read? :P)

Everyone should read Kiss of Steel for their steampunk.

I want this series to sweep everyone in a la Psy Changeling. (Assuming I continue to enjoy it!!!)
